Turn Length

<t>In my experience (which is solo only as I sometimes have a week of pause or so) 1 Day turns are normally the right thing. Of course if you are the Allies and know that the Japanese cannot really do very much you certainly could switch to longer turns from time to time, eg when you are waiting for ...

Base forces et.al.

<t>I do not understand the exitement about this. I was curious as how it did work. I thought that I might have misunderstood something. Personally I woundn't mind Base Force expansion, but as someone pointed out, you can alwals use the editor. (Change Japanese Base Forces from 30/40/30 to 90/300/300 ...

Base Force Reinforcement

I have never seen any replacement for Base Forces. I assume that a Base Force, which should grow (according to the manual) receive this growth just like any other replacement in Truk/Noumea/ Brisbane. I played the allies till Nov 42 in Campaign 17 whithout it happening once.

Bombardment PM

I also have the problem of a long leave outside Gili-Gili (There are probalbly some comfort women hidden there) What actually helps is to put the TF on Patrol/Do not retire. You can always hope the PM then is out during daytime that you are not bombed.

Ships Sunk

It would be nice to be able to see Japanese or Allied ships sunk only as well as all. Also a table like the one in the old Pacwar would be good to see were all these points are coming from. The indivdual list can after all grow really long

Sweeping Mines

I sent the Mine Warfare TF to follow the transports. I had 7 or 8 hits. The DMS neither swept in that round nor in the next. The minfield was shown on the map and after all the Transport Tf had found the field.

Sweeping mines

<t>I am playing allied in scenario 17 (Japan on AI). There is a minefield at Shortland. I have tried to send minesweepers there (on Patol/do not retire). They do not find anything. If I try to land however, the transports do find the mines. The accompanying Minesweepers do nothing and the transports ...

<t>This will happen if you open an air group or a LCU unit loaded on a ship and you do not have sufficient lower DOS memory. 256 MB Ram won't help at all as DOS only uses 640 KB. There have been a number of suggestions on how to solve this problem. Personally I boot native DOS 6.22 without almost ...

The PC's produced are of a different type than the MTB's which are available to the allies. Perhaps this can be changed. Otherwise you can always use an editor to change the type to the one produced (If I remember correctely 156 instead if 132 according to xBEARS editor)

MTB

In Version 2.0 MTB's were attacked with AC Cannon and bombs. After I installed 2.1 bombers attack with AC Cannons only (as in the original game). Is this intentional or a new bug?

My experience is that it does not matter where MCS or TK are. Nagoya or LA is only important for escorts
