I used the Modswap but I don't think I loaded the enhanced Das Reich. Where would I get that?

RE: ENH Das Reich Campaign

I just posted a question on the forum but maybe it can be answered here. I'm [playing Das Reich with the enhanced DV mod and am running into enemy squads armed with 280mm and 16" guns! I've upgraded to 8.4 with all three patches. Have I left something out?

How do I update my OOBs?

<t> After a long hiatus from SPWAW, I decided to revisit this great game again and proceeded to download everything up to 8.4 including the enhanced DV mod. I started playing the "Das Reich" campaign and I am running into enemy infantry squads armed with 16" and 280 mm guns. Having one of these ...

RE: Barlow

Sears deals with Barlow on the first day of Gettysburg and mentions he was given charge of the division because of his leadership qualities. Unfortunately he couldn't keep his German brigades from panicking. I think his leaderhip rating should stay as it was.

RE: question about tactical battle

It is a step above Ed Wood but not good enough for cult status it seems. I never heard of it.

RE: Flag Request

Under Mods and Scenarios, Check the Sheps Flsg mod. It has some of what you are looking for as far as Corps Flags for the Union.

RE: My first impressions of the Game

You can split the brigades and even though they are "demi-brigades", you could call them regiments. but as you say the number of units would be large and no colonels to command them.

How can I save this to my flag folder as the correct file type? This is great. We need more flags.

Well you are still setting the standard for AARs. Hopefully you can do one for the Union.

RE: I held a battle and no one showed up.

Yes the Union force routed no doubt because the time was up however yhr Union also outnumbered me 24 brigades to 14 so i would think it would attack none the less.I have seen the AI attack even though it was outnumbered. wierd but I;m sure there is an explanation for it.

RE: I held a battle and no one showed up.

Except that they were attacking and on the final day the whole army went into rout which reflects a morale issue. I guess they didn't get paid or the Confederate checks bounced. the AI should go for the city objectives but they were never spotted on the map at all.

Well a morale level of 2900 is low but I expected them to at least show up but maybe they decided not to dance after all.

I held a battle and no one showed up.

<t> I'm not reporting this as a bug, only as an odd occurrence: Playing the new patch, Souther Steel. 1st Lt level as the Rebs. In a detailed battle, the advisors report shows me with a morale of over 5000 and the Union with 2900. However, my force has only 14 brigades but the Union has 24. I decide ...

That leads me to another question: if a unit leader is killed, does the unit suffer a morale loss?

RE: Wounded & Killed Generals

Perhaps only your own generals should be reported due to FOW. You wouldn't necessarily know if a general from the other side has been killed or wounded.

Its interesting to read in Sherman's memoirs, that he and Halleck served together in california and were on frindly terms.
