Anybody know when the current beta is expected to become official? Trying to gauge if I should start a new GC now or wait for the full release if it's not too far away.


I can't speak for Matrix's timing, but I expect that we'll be looking at this with them sometime in September. So probably not ...

To my knowledge, this was not something ever contemplated by the detailed combat reports. Could be in the code and still working but not visible, or could have been an old WitE1 or WitW rule that disappeared when the combat system in WitE2 was drastically rewritten. Good point. Looks like the combat units are being treated as the HQ for the support units, at least for the counting. I'll add it to the list to investigate. Thanks.

Exceeding the ground requirement in the WE TB will help you delay the Allies from taking Berlin. I can't say exactly how much is needed to give you a good chance of holding Berlin until the end of the scenario.

Pavel responded: I see no issue with font scaling on production chart screens. Text justification on rollover is currently not supported.

Pavel confirmed that there is a limit to production. The game doesn't allow to build when the pool is above the build limit * 100.

Gary was never able to improve the AI enough to guarantee it would deal with all the bypassed units. When he turned up the rear area security, it made the AI weaker overall. We didn't want to cripple the AI to make sure it took out all the units. What level is this being played at? At the higher ...

It appears the heavy seige guns are finally doing what was intended. Maybe too much, although I wouldn't expect a 1941 collection of Soviet units to be able to hold out against a determined German assault.

No. With Summer vacations, I'm not sure when it will become official. We plan to release another beta in July with a few more code changes and data changes, so it's possible the current beta will not become official, and will give way to the next beta. I see the "disrupted by" message more common in air to ground shots, but also see a few of them in ground vs ground shots. I don't see that they are always small arms. It's possible that the impact of the number of men in a man weapon unit does not linearly increase their effectiveness. I don't know that, but just trying to think of reasons why 5x2 would be better than 10. I can ask Pavel if he can quickly tell if the system to account for men using the same ...

Thanks, I saw the issue, and it seems the 5v2 divisions have a 50% chance of getting the double swap, so Pavel should be able to recreate it. Surprising as they are on demand build items, but does sound like the AFV issue.

Is there anything that repeats on a specific turn for a specific unit, or are you just expecting that over the first x number of turns you'll see the extra manpower replacements in one or more of the 5v2 divisions? You're not comparing units on the defense with those on the offense, are you? Clearly units on the defense shoot and hit more often. Are you saying there's something unique about certain weapons in urban defense?

The armor data change won't, but the code changes would impact all games. I don't expect the next update to come out before July at the earliest, so I wouldn't wait for it.

I can't explain the men/freight listed in the supply details. Does this repeat from a save? If so, please attach the save and let us know what unit to watch. I'll mention this to Pavel but doubt he'll have any idea without a repeatable save. Thanks.
