Well, it is a monster game and the number of ships, air units and ground units to manage and keep track of is mind-boggling.

Splitting the map in sub-theatres and then treating each sub-theatre one by one may help.

It is a pity that changing of HQs consumes political points even for unrestricted ...

This error occurs because the executable file (.exe) is looking for the core game data files in its current directory and cannot find them.

It most commonly happens after applying a patch or a beta update (which places the new .exe in a subfolder like \Beta2\), or due to an incorrect shortcut path ...

Thx @sfatula, I have read the term here and have applied CAP at different levels in the past, but the finer point - putting the lowest-numbered unit at the lowest altitude in order counter-bounce with the other, higher units - had eluded me until now.

I concurr with btd64, the auto-victory seems to be hardcoded. But if I am not mistaken, the auto-victory screen allows to continue the game afterwards.
