Nice photo, Ian. What aircraft is that? By the dress of the deck crew it looks more modern than WW2. Prop planes may be considered obsolete but they did, and still do, have their role in certain situations.

Port & supply dump hits

<t> My 4-E bombers are hitting enemy ports and I see reports of various of X hits on port, supply dump, airfield. What I, and I am sure others, would like to know is what sort of effects a hit point has. For example, if for sake of ease there are 1,000 points of supply and the supply dump takes 1 ...

Well, and the Yamato itself is a total gift to the IJ players. As noted above, she came into service in Dec 41 BUT it was quickly found that she had significant issues with her main battery. Those were not resolved until May 42. HOWEVER ...

RE: CV's wont lauch planes???

<r> Well, if he can't get any aircraft to operate, the ships carpenters out of frustration will launch plains, hammers too. Like that submarine captain who asked for a can opener when the Mark 14 torpedoes were going thud instead of boom. If the weapons they give you don't operate you have to throw ...

Device upgrade problem

<r> I am in early November 1942 and having trouble getting the Australian infantry brigades to swap out militia for 1942 squads. On New Guinea three units were able to successfully upgrade, but the units in Sydney refuse to upgrade, no matter what I do. I have Australia Command HQ in Sydney with ...

<t> Wow! That was one defiant Kaleun. I've twice had in my current game subs forced to the surface and they fired torpedoes but missed. One got hammered and I never did see it sink, the report said I lost contact. I think it sank and in all the smoke and fog it went under without being observed. Fog ...

RE: Guadalcanal scenario: took Lunga & Tulagi, what now?

<t> When I let the first turn run for my brother to see, three BBs were destroyed. A player could be technical and scuttle the ones about to die in order to cheat the IJN of a few victory points, but I feel honour bound to let them have the full points after all the work they put in for the first ...

One valiant submarine

<t> I wish there was a way to issue a commander and crew a medal in this game. SS Albacore, cursed with the unreliable Mark 14 [though I have had several hits with my fleet, one sighted sinking and several likely] surfaced and clobbered a Maru until she herself took damage. Her captain submerged and ...

Could it be that Ballard is a tender that has no supply capacity? If I click load tenders the game loads other vessels, but not Ballard.

As you can see, Manley and McKean have supply aboard, but they are APDs, a different class of ship.<br/>

RE: Guadalcanal scenario: took Lunga & Tulagi, what now?

<t> Ballard is an AVD and shows as having capacity of "0" whereas Manley and McKean are APDs in the listing directly above it and show capacity of 180 each. I know there are not aircraft tenders, but I mention them as showing they have a small capacity to hold supply. Is it possible that Ballard ...
