Losing Interest

I have played two PBEM games - both times my opponents quit after 3 months play with nothing decided. It's such a shame as I enjoyed the games so much. But I doubt I will get the sequel. I just can't see how anyone will come close to playing the full 4 years!

I got it a few days after it came out - have decided to stop playing and put it back in the case for 6 months and see if they can finish it.

Game Over

<t>I was just wondering if anyone has played one of the full length<br/>
scenario's to the end in PBEM? I love the game and play 1 or 2 turns every day (normally 1) but it seems too daunting to me to take on the full length scenario's at the 1 day turn level.<br/>

I have yet to get a lock up - but I notice that the reports get slower and slower during large surface battles. I am
eventually forced to end the animations.

Target hex change

<t>One thing I don't recall seeing on the forums is any mention of<br/>
the annoying inability of preventing transport ships unloading <br/>
or mine layers deploying their mines when they reach their destination hex. Sometimes I just want to go to port to refuel or find safe harbour for a few turns ...

UV Sound

<t>After mentioning the sound track in the UV forum it's made me think about how important this actually is. I think they made a <br/>
great job setting the atmoshphere in the game with the music.<br/>
I would really miss it if they changed it much. <br/>

<t>You should add this to The a little good news thread - it's certainly one of the best wargames I have played. The<br/>
intensity of a carrier battle reminds me of the feeling I have<br/>

results in the game for me have been better.<br ...

<t>I wouldn't put to sea with 4 carriers if I can have 6 a few days later. I really should know this I think. <br/>

In reality if they were needed in another theatre I would be arguing the case of deploying them to mine. If I lost the argument<br/>

Victory score - quick question

Can anyone tell me what makes up the final points total?
Is it just bases held and ships sunk?

Do enemy aircraft or troop losses score points?
Thanks, Chris

I played for a couple of months as the allies before my opponent had to unfortunatly drop out. It does seem a pretty well balanced scenario. Midway has been fought.

<t>My pbem partner this morning announced that he is pulling out of all of his games due to a life change. This was after 2 months of play. My point is that 1,000 turns would take me 3 years to play - what are the chances of anyone actually finisihing a game?<br/>
I for one will need 7 day turns for ...
