Still going strong

This game is a winner for Matrix. I've repurchased it 3 times myself (for various reasons), and am still playing and replaying it. Keep it up!

How about the manual that shipped with M1 tank platoon? That was a good one too.

RE: Atomic Games V4V Series

<t> The V4V series was fantastic. Atomic games... ahh memories. I agree with Crimguy tho - there is just as good or better out there now. Even if the gameplay is the same but better because they're made for newer operating systems: it's easier. I don't mind messing around with my PC a bit (and had ...

<t> Unfortunately for the coordinator of the alpha/beta testing the volunters can be bit of a crapshoot - some are experienced some are not, some have relevant exper, some don't, some have gamer rigs, some have consumer rigs, some have shit, some have time, some only think they have time.<br/>

RE: Close Combat – Last Stand Arnhem Now Available!

This is fantastic. Go Matrix! As I said on another forum...If Matrix can do what Avalon Hill didn't, with the strength of games they have in their stable...I want these games to live on, they have potential.

RE: What is Next for MatrixGames?

I think (please all of you correct me if I'm wrong) that one of the main differences between the gameplay in the CC series, and the various RTS "competitors" (yes those are bias quotes) is a combination of the unit awareness and combat distance.

RE: running really slow....

Thanks and thanks, is as I suspected.&nbsp; The 2010 norton is much more involved than I expected running updates and scans almost continuously.&nbsp; Maybe over time it will resolve and be less intrusive as it scans everything...

RE: Still a Buy?

Yes.

I've bought this game 3 times, twice in retail and then once online. Don't ask, lets just say alot of moving and poor packing. After all these years this is one of a few games that stays readily available on my HDD.

RE: "Hardcoding" Names

If I remember correctly you could&nbsp;increase the names in&nbsp;the names file and reduce the repetition, but it's been (quite)&nbsp;a few years since I messed with it.&nbsp; I don't think that was a file that was size limited.
