RE: Did Neville Chamberlain do the right thing?

<r> A recent book takes a less conventional view than many standard works. As it is based more on a politician's self interest as opposed to their policy opinions, found this interesting. My experience is that history books tend to minimize or underestimate a politician's wish to first maximize ...

RE: Should Britain have gone to war in 1914?

<r> I have read many standard works on this topic. This book is a different angle on the Liberal party cabinet decision to go to war in August 1914 and is worth reading for consideration.<br/>

RE: Phillies vs Cubs, 40 Years Ago

Thanks for the memories. My brother and I moved to a new town that summer and baseball was our life. Great game, Cubs at Wrigley and those 70's Phils uniforms. Happened to be wearing the retro shirt today when I saw this post.

RE: Was Pearl Harbor Preemptive?

<t> From what I have read, the US decision to implement oil and scrap metal embargoes in 1940/41 meant that Japanese oil reserves for military operations were going to be drained to the point where they could not effectively fight. Some sources say within a year or two. Would that have faced the ...

<t> Just bought the game with the monthly sale. I have been busy with DC Case Blue but am keeping an eye on checking this game out. <t> I have the Matrix version of the game. My computer has the specs to run the high version of the game and had this running on v1.04 and v1.06. After upgrading to 1.07, I encountered some issues and had to enter on the low resolution. I now have the game running but cannot get rid of the low ...
