RE: Working on 6th Army Campaign

Since the first battle had non core paratroops, one idea would be either a non core group on each flank, or new core reinforcement units there based on historical OB

RE: Working on 6th Army Campaign

I bought them twice - before and after the final Kharkov 42 battle - the PP were spent but they never showed up.
I thought perhaps it was intentional to prevent them showing up before realistic that should be Nov 42?

<t> Sorry for my silence. Extremely sick 20-30 Dec, in bed, couldn't swallow, did 2 swallows of water per day for 3 days.<br/>
On the scenario my biggest complaint Larry addressed with OB mixup. 2 other things - you can spend PP for Tigers in scenario Kharkov in '42 but they don't appear. The other ...

static but bloody with hundreds of losses each turn and the same hexes flip back and forth between the two... Your French being allied can probably see some of it...

<t> War started. Salute to the Russian 4th Med Tank - should be awarded guard status for fending off repeated attacks before finally retreating with only 1 company of tanks left and then managed to fend off another attack before finally retreating again. Extremely bloody for the Reich. Cannot afford ...

RE: GD1938 AAR (SEC)

<t> went back to my turn save before finishing my move Wed night and it shows Japan lost 19 planes vs 39 China; armor Japan lost 29 vs 22 from China. Plus China lost 208 partisans and both sides lost lots of infantry & guns. Due to fuel Japan refrained from building much beyond infantry/arty, or ...

<t> I'm no good at posting maps or fancy stuff on computer, but Japanese depleted units continue their drive, making further gains, capturing Nanning and Lanchow (forget the name) plus a failed effort in the center against the last Chinese mine and a drive down the road toward Kuming (again forget ...

RE: GD1938 AAR (SELC)

all quiet with the peaceful European Axis. In China the attrition battle continues, slowly grinding through nasty terrain against stiffening resistance. Minor gains in ground, but inflicted a lot of losses on various Chinese HQs acting as front line defensive units, surrounding some.

that was luck - I bombed 4 cities and it was the only one undefended, otherwise I'd have picked another or none if they all were defended

<t> yes, Sian, not Slan as on the map quote. My hands twitch and I hit adjacent keys or double hit some or don't capitalize as I have no control of my pinky fingers. Also if you look elsewhere in China, near Hanoi, Kuming? you'll see a Japanese raid<br/>

RE: GD1938 AAR (SELC)

<t> Europe continues at peace, but Axis had some luck with diplomatic cards. China with new leadership seems more aggressive, so I've in turn stepped up my efforts with various harassment raids in the Chinese rear, a drive to Siam, took the Wuhan mine. But had to pull back the navy due to fuel ...

again with peaceful western Axis building up defenses while Japan continues it's war of attrition, pocketing a large number of units west of Nanking. The IJN continues to pound Chinese forces along the coast and random harassing air raids to the Chinese rear.

RE: GD1938 AAR (SELC)

wouldn't more Russian support have made it take longer? Or even with that, still not worth the PP? Japan had a better turn, and the diplomatic cards played more normal with no 50's this time.

RE: GD1938 AAR (SELC)

question is, is the build up offensive or defensive? When Poland fell it was defenseless and there was a fear of Soviet attack to grab terrain that wasn't defended

RE: GD1938v3 update (C2X)

not sure if it is by design or pure luck, but I'm getting far more than normal plus 50 on my diplomacy cards. perhaps this is a balance thing since my Axis troops have lower than previous game's experience levels?
