Hi,
It seems the hotkeys shown for the menu bar items (Game, Counters, Staff etc.) are not working.
Either just pressing them directly (worked in FCSS) or using the standard Alt+key modifier.

One minor QoL issue that probably no-one else cares about

Changing monitor DPI scaling in Windows Settings is fiddly having to do every time you want to launch a game.
It is possible to create a desktop shortcut pointing to ms-settings:display but it's still manual.

I highly recommend Nirsoft's MultiMonitorTool:

For some context, "Application" scaling means to tell Windows to not attempt its own (blurry) System scaling but let the application handle it (if it's able to). Doesn't always work, might lead to weird UI elements or cropped text etc. In FCSS I there was a minor issue with the Spotlight arrows but ...

I'm also on a 27" screen, running 1440p at 150% DPI scaling. It looks great and no problems reading the text. If anything, some of the dialog fonts are kind of too large. But at least I won't have to struggle with these old eyes ;)

So DPI scaling is the way to go for us old(er) wargamers ...

Several folks have mentioned using a single-letter key press to do various things in the game, but the software limits us to how hotkeys can be coded. A number are using a third-party program to make macros to do various things when the game is running. If we reach a point where a new codebase ...

A big QOL improvement would be to have key shortcuts for the popup context menu.
Especially when giving movement orders you need to go into this menu all the time.
If one could press for instance:
D - Move Deliberate
H - Move Hasty
S - Screen
D- Hold
R - Rest

This would save a lot of time.

Just really wish you'd fix the scaling of the arrows in the Spotlight. I understand it depends on some 3rd-party library you use, but it really does make the Spotlight very hard to use with a mouse - I have to focus ...

As for what dialogs should be looked at first, it would be the ones that are most used, i.e. the:
Unit Dashboard
Subunit Inspector
SOP Manager
Off-Map Assets

I know these have the keys as toggles now, but for me it's a lot about muscle memory - If ...

Really appreciate more fixes and the added SOP menu, will be very useful!

Minor issue with the unit spotlight - the arrows and lines are almost impossible to distinguish. Makes it very hard to see the OOB structure.

Could be a DPI Scaling issue?
Using 150% scaling here on a 2560x1440 display ...

I use the following AHK script to override the hotkeys:

From what I can tell the game registers itself in the registry:

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Matrix Games\Flashpoint Campaigns Southern Storm

This would be for a 64-bit OS. On a 32-bit (does anyone actually run those anymore???) it would likely be:

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL ...

For now a workaround for the font DPI Scaling issue seems to be to force Windows to apply Application scaling. This can be done in the properties for FlashpointCampaigns.exe:



Unfortunately, if your OS is older than Windows 10 this is not really an option.

In Windows there's a setting in the executable properties to override the High DPI Scaling. If set to "Application" FCSS is back to "normal". However, I can't remember setting this before. Setting it to "System" or "Enhanced ...
