RE: PLEASE READ - PBEM

<t> This happened to me only after installing the patch. Before that, the settings remained as I set them. The important settings for me were the 1 day turn cycle and FOW. When I opened opponent's turn, I went straight to orders without a Combat Replay (I'm playing IJN). I hope the settings stick ...

RE: Thank you Matrix and the Beta team

Thanks Matrix! My first post in the forum. But I've been lurking and salivating for months ... Don't expect another post till I come up for air. The DL is almost done!

I'm hooked!

<t>In contrast to another recent on-going thread here ...<br/>
<br/>
I'm hooked on this game. I'm very, very late to the show. I only recently picked up this game. I've been following it for quite some time through reviews and the discussions here. <br/>

I've only begun to scratch the surface ...

<t>Try Imperialism and Imperialism II, both are free. Similar is looks to Civ, but it covers industrialization and the competition like that among the great Powers of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Imperialism has a much stronger economic engine (raw materials, processed goods, and finally ...

Sounds like a problem to me, but I'm no expert. Not at all like my upgrade from 6.1 to 7.0. My version number changed and the OOB files stayed where they belong. You might try reinstalling from verion 5.1 onward.

Hope you still have the installation files.

Redleg,

I've got version 6 ... the scenarios that came with it are for an older version of SPWaW?

If you could send me an updated copy, I'd appreciate it. I really enjoyed the scenario. All that fire and smoke really set a dark mood. Thanks ...

<t>Thanks for the help everyone. The concept of points/turn for holding a VL is new to me. I did take a number of VL's on the second to last turn. I guess that accounts for it. I don't think it was casualties. I took my share, especially taking out those bunkers, but I obliterated countless Dutch ...

Newbie Question

<t>Hey All,<br/>
<br/>
I can't believe I didn't look into this game earlier. I've been familiar with Wild Bill's work for Combat Mission. Finding another, broader, finely tuned game featuring his work is more than I could have imaginged. SPWaW is simply fantastic. Thanks Matrix!<br/>
