Not a must, but definitely think about buying one of the Mega Campaigns...worth the money just to have a v7+ of SPWAW and a Campaign!
The Downloads can be notoriously tricky at times, just one bad file and it's all for not...since they won't even install properly to add the upgrades to.

The German Invasion of Norway or Yugoslavia/Greece would be good topics that haven't been covered enough.
A good non-German campaign would be the War Winter of 1939-40 between Russia and Finland.

Did you find the patch? Paul sent me it a week ago and it cured the sync errors that we driving me nuts.

Just like a couple of these posts...the sync error is gone with the patch...but I have suffered several crashes in the middle of games, which is something I hadn't had problems with prior.
