Return to SP...

<t> Hello all... been away from SPWaW for... about a year. Back and looking for a PBeM or two, though I'm a little rusty. Currently running the 8.4 (must say I love all the work that's gone into the new versions) and I'm most comfortable with Germans. <br/> <br/> So... anyone fancy a mid-sized mid-w...

I'm not sure if the sight of a 16-ton mortar attached to a 'chute would scare anyone except those underneath it. A 16-ton weight would need a 'chute of several square miles in size & made of something a lot stronger than regular 'chutes.

Perhaps an Italian kamikaze weapon?

Of course, if you are worried about Germans on the other side of that hedgerow, just use a Churchill AVRE. They're one Eng. Tank, at least, that's not too easy to kill... and that 290mm mortar :D well...

<t>Have to say that the HQ M4a1 in the US vs GE 'Enough is Enough' Tunisia scenario made a complete mess of the PzIIIs and StuGs (and 8-rads). Of course, the flanking fire from the PzVI's 88 put a stop to that nonsense, but I was impressed.<br/> <br/> As poor as they are when up against Katz, M4s ar...

Who's afraid of the big bad... Tiger.

It strikes me that there are a lot of people out there who can't even handle the idea of those little Kats.

So I thought I'd find out just how many and how much...:D

I have had problems loading maps when I have input data for Weather/Length/Vis etc. I have found that if I set Date then Map (to Custom) then Length, then Weather, then Visibility (the order does seems to matter) this problem does not occur.

Not sure if this helps.

C&C

<t>The point of using C&C is to add an extra element of realism. At times it can be absurd and crippling, but I also find it helps bring clarity to my thought. C&C makes you consider exactly what purpose each of your units has and thus forces a degree of tactical coherence upon you, somethin...
