Target changed too often

I see TF ships changing their target almost every turn (within the same target division). This is annoying, and needs looking at.

Also ships that have never been out of sight shouldnt revert to unidentified even at night - yes they are on the edge of visibility but it was a specific vessel class ...

Additional Air HQ Barracuda not building

I have searched but cannot find any reference to this: I have played the additional Air HQs 1943 campaign couple of times (vs AI), and the Barracuda II doesnt build, even though its entry in the data is 1943/1 to star, expanding to 3 per turn. This leaves the NAS sqds orphaned unless you just ignore ...

Re: How Did The Bismarck Manage To Sink HMS Hood?

Think you are mixing your drinks. Hood was overdue rebuild, but was perfectly operational. PoW was still working up/fixing builders/design faults.

RE: How to calibrate the counter values correctly

<t> So the game is flawed unless the combat effects can automatically take account of an army that was under orders to not provoke Hitler by doing anything to prepare? When else in the war were so many planes caught on the ground and so many troops not deployed when an offensive prepared in ...

RE: Captured cities should be immediate supply depots

<t> There is also a major fallacy in the assumption that any food that can be gleaned from a captured city is available for combat units. Not shown in the game are the hordes of admin troops and civilians that follow behind. How do they move? What do they eat? <br/>

Torch to Tunisa no fuel bug?

I have just come back to WitW, after W10 upgrade (clean install). I have noticed that neither Malta nor Gib have any fuel for some turns, even though getting good supply deliveries (and in Gib's case having massive stockpiles). Has this been reported before. Save available.

RE: 109 G,K numbers should be evaluated

<t> A couple of things: <br/>
a) warbirds are never flown to their limits these days - or at least not by pilots who want to keep it and them in one piece, so this evidence cannot be taken at face value.<br/>
b) the ratings in the game are the 'applied' rating, that is the real effect they have on ...

it works out fine. Key are two steps, first leave the med air dispersed and on auto. Second Wellingtons+mines from the other air groups really push up interdiction over key areas.<br/>

RE: Bombing campaign: does economy work?

<t> I have never done a campaign where I just bomb railcards consistently but tactical bombing of them does make a real difference. For instance I aim to have every yard in Italy red before winter 43. This really slows supply movement, forces use of vehicles to haul supply etc. Doesn’t matter how ...

<t> Oh, but I do think I said rockets for Interdiction/NP. I think the ground units bomb effectiveness has been tested somewhere - logically 500lbers should be better than 1000, but maybe I remember someone saying it should be rather than it is in game..<br/>

<t> The AI has always had variation in its strategies. It was a long while ago but I have had what I nicknamed 'Panzer Armee Sicily' used against me - the AI moved 2 PG and 1 Pz Div to Sicily and fought me for it. I enjoyed this, because I bottled them up in the NE of the island, interdicted the ...

RE: "Not enough remaining port capacity"

<t> The other way to deal with HQs with huge amounts of SU is to move them on the 'hire purchase' principle. Move out the majority of the SU, either by sending them one at a time to valid HQs already overseas, or by using a 'stay at home HQ', then ship the lightened HQ. You can then reunite the SUs ...
