Amphib assaults too easy?

<t> I've always been interested in the sort of 'grand strategy' wargame that Time of Wrath falls into so I didn't hesitate (long) before getting myself a copy. I started a new grand campaign as Germany with everything set to default levels except for a few graphics preferences. Thus far things have ...

RE: AAR : Women and Children First

<t> I know they changed a significant number of things for the movie. Hook, for example, was a volunteer to the regiment, a tee-totaller (or however you spell it [:)]), and could read and write. Quite different from the cheerful curmudgeon from the movie. Still, it's one of my favourite movies of ...

Best guess is a Focke-Wulfe Condor, but that bird cage on the nose and the possibility of a split tail puzzles me.

RE: Name this MWiF Counter - 13

Ugh. Sorting through the dregs that is my memory.

Wasn't it the Focke-Wulf FW-190? It used a Junkers engine because radial engines, at that time in Germany, were more plentiful than the in-line engines most fighter designers preferred.

That's my SWAG.

RE: Matrix Games at GenCon Indy?

GenCon is mostly an RPG convention, but there is usually a respectable computer gaming presence.

Mark;

Good news, I will look for the Matrix booth when I'm there.

Matrix Games at GenCon Indy?

<t> Hey guys;<br/>
<br/>
Having read your announcement about Origins, I am wondering if there will be a Matrix presence at GenCon as well. Friends of mine and I had already made plans for GenCon, so I won't be attending Origins this year. I would love to have an opportunity to see both Battles in ...

RE: What's Your worst war movie ever

Easy enough for me, 'When Trumpets Fade'. Seemed to me to be a movie set in the 40's with slang and attitude from the 80's. Almost as bad as seeing a crowd chant Queen's 'We Will Rock You' at a supposedly Medieval Joust.

<t> I have Hathcock's biography at home somewhere. IIRC, he made that shot with a M2HB onto which he mounted an 8X scope. Pretty incredible if you ask me, especially when you consider that the Canadian Corporal who may have beaten it used a bolt-action .50 calibre sniper rifle.<br/>

I understand that Origins is more wargamer oriented than GenCon, but I'm wondering if Matrix games will have a presence in Indianapolis in August?
