the option in the preferences section is greyed out- if I toggle it before I load the game that does nothing as well. I have heard of people updating pbem games, so someone must know...

Is it possible to upgrade to 1.6 in mid-pbem game and have optional upgrade paths? If so, please describe how. I have applied 1.6 and its effects to the pbem game, but the option to toggle player defined upgrades is greyed out.

I'm playing U2 as well, and he is a sub master. about 12 turns into the game, and I get attacked 3-5 times a nite.

Argh!

I'm at work right now, will check as soon as I get home. About 3 more hours.

I am up for it. I would prefer to play Japs, since that's all I've played so far. Any other options up to you.
