<t>Oh yes, WAYPOINTS, they are a must in my book. I'm tired of having the choice of either a) checking my TFs every turn and rerouting them just right so they don't go in a hex with known subs or b) being stuck with morons for TF commanders who ignore my orders to divert around sub infested hexes ...

<r>My request involves the little blue quick jump boxes at the bottom of the screen for each base that shows air groups and TFs and Land units. I'd like to be able to organize the air group buttons that are at the bottom of the screen and have them stay that way. For example, at Port Moresby, there ...

I've got two guesses.

1. The 38th DIV has tankettes but at the top is shows vehicles as 0.

2. the 8th CST Gun RGT has a load cost about 3.5 times the 38th DIV (81,312 vs 23,599). This may be intentional though if they have some really big guns, but I'm not sure.

That's what I figured. No big deal, was just hoping there was some way to slow/stop it if enough effort was put in.

Thanks for the info guys. I like the division sized units with some smaller ones added. And thank you for allowing planes to be loaded on transports.

<t>I'll remember to wear extra thick gloves next time I handle one. I was just wondering if anyone knew and was able to post if there were set numbers or only certain bases, or they worked like supply and had to be transported around, etc, but I'm guessing no one can answer this due to NDAs. No big ...

<t>Mogami I was attempting to take Port Moresby and had bypassed Gilli-Gilli. The damage occured a few hexes south and west of Gilli-Gilli so there was no good port to set the Carrier to retire to. Besides, there was no reason for him to retire since the other carriers were providing protection and ...

Damaged ships

<t>I was wondering what other people thought about damaged ships dropping out of their parent TF and attempting to retire? <br/>
<br/>
The reason I ask is because I recently lost a CV because of it. I was invading Port Moresby and the Soryu was hit and unable to conduct flight ops and dropped out of ...

Malaria zones

<t>Another question I have is are Malaria zones going to be treated the same in WITP as in UV? While I like the idea for units that are in the bush (ie non base hexes or fighting in a base hex), I think units that are at a base with enough support shouldn't suffer too badly. Of course there could be ...

How are mines handled

<t>This may have been asked before, but how are mines going to be handled in WITP? Currently, mines are the thing I like the least in UV. In fact I pretty much can't stand them. No they haven't been a show stopper in any game, I learned early to protect my MSWs. It's just I get tired of seeing the ...

<t>What about escorting fighters that say they've turned back, but their numbers don't decrease in the air-to-air combat screen? I find this irritating because my planes on CAP will sometimes turn back and their numbers do decrease. Also, if you and your enemy both have LRCAP in the same hex they ...

I fly everything since the weather is so generic and I don't have a clue where it's good and bad. I really don't pay attention to the weather since there is no prediction of what it will be the next turn.

I'd only like to see it kept if TF's set to follow also react, and if you set it to do not react, the TF's do not react. If I tell one of my commanders to cover an invasion TF and that is his only priority, he better cover that TF and not go chasing after the enemy!

<t>I mean, I know plenty of cooks, radio repairmen, mechanics, etc. in the Army today and they all have rifles or pistols at a minimum and usually some crew served weapons as well. I'm guessing this was also the case during WWII for even the REMFs. I could see a small raiding group destroying some ...

<t>I think the real problem is that large units like base forces have no nominal defense value. I don't care if I was a cook in a 500 man base force, if 20 or so Japs came ashore I'm sure me and at least 100 of my buddies could find some rifles and at least hold off the enemy. I'd like to see some ...

CAG overloading

<t>I recently had one of my CV's get hit and gain over 50 total damage so it's planes diverted. No problem so far. Then once the fires and float damage was fixed and sys damage is 15, the split off air groups rejoined the carrier. Only problem is the SBD squadrons both have 30+ planes assigned to ...
