Re: Supply Route

One should be able to assign a supply depot to a division or Corp, Army should be the map edge. The supply system is so complex and kaddywhompus that it's a game stopper, IMHO. The Allies seem easier, but the German supply is a nightmare. KISS = Keep It Simple S ....

I think that the short answer is yes, but you're better off following this thread from the BattleFront forum
How to get your CMBN game on Steam

HTH

I put the serial number into the My Page Register Serial but the serial failed. I bought the game in 2011 directly from Battlefront. I have ...

Supply Path Finding?

Supply path finding to a supply source is still wonky!! It take a convoluted path from the unit to the prime/end source! Is this being investigated by the developers? Are they trying to fix this? Another thing units do not use a local supply depot but traces, not through the depot, back to the edge ...

Do the LCM's, LCT's and/or barges aid in loading and unloading of TF's that are not docked?

Re: Task Force Air Strike Coordination?

You wrote it wrong…….it should be rnd.

rnd = randomly generated number- i.e. a die roll. rnd (100) is a range from 0-99.

Yeah! I had to use a magnifying glass to see it,(r)nd. Thanks!

Oh, I assume the random number is from ...

Task Force Air Strike Coordination?

On page 167 in the manual we are given a formula for TF Air Strike coordination. For 1943 it's Number of aircraft in strike = 150+(md)150. What is md?

Re: Air Combat TF Sortie Count Refresh

Short answer is good!

Is there a longer answer?

Okay, if you want a little more verbosity . . .

The answer for the question that you have asked is simplicity itself as long as the AE and/or AKE has enough supplies available, is in the same hex as the requesting aircraft carrier vessel, the ...

Re: Air Combat TF Sortie Count Refresh

The OP asked about replenishing sortie count, not ammo. I'm curious about this myself. Are sorties included in replenishment?

In a short answer, YES!

Thanks! I am currently read Toll's 3 volume account of the Pacific War. I believe Toll mentioned this ability to keep the fleet at sea ...

Air Combat TF Sortie Count Refresh

Is there another way to refresh the sortie count other than moving to a port? The US Navy developed a means of resupplying Air Combat TF's at sea, but the IJN never did! Will putting an AE of AKE into a replenishment TF do the job?

Re: Can somebody explain the supply system.....

Should depots be placed a certain distance. 100 ap, from the major supply source? Should you have a string of depots reaching across the map? The Allies don't seem to have trouble with supply, but the Germans do!! I built a depot out at Samree and another at Houffalize. Now the "green hexes stop ...

German Artillery Doctrine

The concept of Time on Target was something the US Army invented in WWII. But the game allows the German side to call artillery onto any hex in range with any artillery unit, i.e. a time on target concept. But I don't think the German had such a doctrine. I found a youtube video;

Re: Political Point Expenditure - PP for Officer Cards

I am burning officer points when I play officer cards. Each officer accumulates command points which are used when using officers command cards. I don't believe there is a PP cost for using officer cards.

Yes, I finally noticed the command point total on the officer window. What confused me was ...

Enemy Unit Information - A Tad too much!

I am seeing way too much information about enemy units, Higher HQ, strength et al. I am sorry but IMHO that's way too much info! If I sit adjacent to them for a couple of turns or I am attacked by them then yes. But spying a unit 3 or 4 hexes away and being able to tell what division they are ...

Re: Intermediate Historical Unit Editor?

And this is the result: both artillery regiments of airborne division (airborne and glider) NOW have 30 trucks (jeeps).
And the winner is me ;-)

To be honest: I don't know why airborne regiments had 20 jeeps vs. 30 of glider regiments. Not sensible at all. And I suspect that IRL they had those ...
