<t>Offensive minefields seem to be completely useless w/ V2.11. I am playing four games of UV: 2 as the Allies and 2 as the Japs. During these games, I have laid numerous sub (3-subs at a time in a hex) and ML minefields in enemy ports, shallow, and coastal hexes. To date, not one enemy ship has str...

Mines No Longer Effective in 2.0?

<r>I am the Jap player and sent two TFs of three subs each to Brisbane and Nomea on minelaying missions. The mines are there and US TFs have moved into both ports but haven't hit any mines. Each TF has at least ten ships in it and no minesweepers. What could be wrong?<EMOJI seq="1f615" tseq="1f615">...

<t>I found the problem w/ one of the subs. Little RO-34 started the scenario w/ torps and mines. It fired its torps, but the game won't allow it to be reloaded w/ mines on-board (I am assuming). I assigned it a mine mission in Shortland harbor to get rid of the mines. Let's see if that solves the pr...

I have already done all of the above w/o success. I still think that torpedo reloading has something to do w/ port size or supply level.

Subs Not Loading Torpedoes

<t>Am the Japanese in the midst of a battle in one of the larger scenarios. #17 as I recall. I have subs that have returned to both Shortland and Rabaul, but they will not load torpedoes. The ports are in the 4-6 range and they have around 25k Supplies and plenty of fuel. Am using V1.40. <br/> <br/>...

Reading Up on the Subject

<r>For those who have an interest in reading about the combat that took place in this AO, the best book I have so far found is <B><s></s>Fire in the Sky<e></e></B> by Eric M. Bergerud, published in 2000 by Westview Press.<br/> <p><br/> This 680-page tome goes into great detail about the area,...

<t>I have set all my Allied AC to 100foot skipbombing w/o any positive results. The only message I get says that the enemy ships are getting "Shell Hits". Big deal.<br/> <br/> As for AC skipbombing from 10-feet in real life, that is how they did it. I have seen pictures of A20s and B25s doing this i...

<t>Lots of suggestions:<br/> <br/> 1. It would be real nice to actually see the weather rather than just get forecasts.<br/> <br/> 2. Suggestion for Sighting Reports

When ships or AC spot enemy TFs in the movies, they always give the direction and speed. Could we see this in spotting reports, especially the direction of travel? This would help determine where they are headed. Thanx!

Ships Sunk Screen

<t>I don't know if this has been reported, but I have the 1.1 patch and not all ships that I sunk have shown up on the Ships Sunk screen in the Intelligence screen.<br/> <br/> I am playing Coral Sea against a guy. I sank his Shokuku, Zuikaku, and Shoho, along with other ships. I saw the ships sink a...

<r><E>:(</E> 1. Whe I click on an AC in a base that has multiple AC groups in it and transfer that group to a new base, my view then changes to that new receiving base. It should go back to the original base so I can reassign more AC there to new groups. This is confusing.<br/> <br/> <E>:(</E> 2. Ja...
