Ah, I see what you mean Lobster. I glossed over the part where it says "I still need to develop the expected points and replacement points...".

Still, it's playable; just won't be able to allocate any replacement points yet.

<t> Just a heads up to everyone who has been following this thread, the long awaited, gargantuan scenario #102, the big enchilada is finally available. The...entire...ETO. Like many of you, this is the reason I bought the game years ago.<br/>

Hi markb50k,

Are you still working on this? I'd be interested in trying out any new versions that you may have produced.

Cheers

RE: Still worth it?

<t> I like both games, but ToTH has more meat on the bone, IMO. Play Ln'L if you want to fight out smaller, quick skirmishes, play ToTH if you want to slog your way through deeper battles with more breadth. <br/>
<br/>
Also, ToTH has a great editor which doesn't appear available for the newer Ln'L ...

The mod looks good! I use JSGME Mod Enabler to quickly automate the mod installation while preserving the default installation. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

<t> Incredible work, asl3d. You've taken an otherwise great game and turned it into a thing of beauty. I was a beta tester for this game and it was such a huge disapointment that support faded out so soon, when ongoing development could have ensured endless possiblities. Your efforts have recharged ...

I played the heck out of 3r PC about 20 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Once patched to version 1.38, the AI was quite decent IMO in that it would relentlessly pounce the moment I slipped into sloppy play or whenever I made a mistake. True, I did beat it more than it ...

<t> That's awesome Peter. [&o] I think that would be a killer feature and would ensure the longevity of TotH. Fair enough, but when artillery is called in successfully, it can have a devastating effect and turn an entire game -- which I have found out to my chagrin.

RE: Lag during larger scenarios?

The lag appears to be associated with having the visibility set to "unlimited" in the Scenario Attributes for large scenarios. What I do in these situations is open the scenario quickly in the editor, drop the visibility to 18 hexes, and then save it. Noticeable improvement thereafter.
