<t> If this changes the Mech.exe, didn't Mike Wood say that was illegal in the Civil War Mod thread, thus he could not comment? Just wondering.<br/>
<br/>
Either way, what does changing the numbers in the mech.exe do exactly? I don't get it. Isn't changing the OOB enough? Still learning how to ...

And now we see the "true" results of those "Haig tactics" as applied against a human opponent, versus the AI (which we all know hopeless when conducting anything but a true defense). Haig was wrong then, and he is wrong today.

I really think you should study your modern military history more thoroughly. Your enthusiasm for a discredited theory of military operations is difficult to understand.

RE: The "Recommended Opponents" Thread

I recommend KG Erwin, for the same reasons, as well as the fact that he packs a mean punch and is an excellent sport about it. If Gunny is a fair representation of the good players out there in SPWAW, then we have a mighty bunch of very cool guys and I can look forward to years of good play.

<t> Namiki's men began their landing at 2000HRS. I watched through my field glasses as his company of men were dropped, one squad at a time. The Americans were apparently waiting for something like this, because as soon as the first plane appears, 40mm rounds began bursting all around the planes ...

When I read it, I think they wrote 12" in the text, but they really wanted 12cm (which is 4.72 inches), a lot closer to the actual thickness.

<t> The main reason I don't change the stats myself is for several reasons:<br/>
<br/>
1. I don't understand enough about the stats to make realistic changes<br/>
<br/>
2. I don't want to get used to fighting the AI with one set of stats, then do a PBEM game and get handed my butt because I rely ...

RE: Ok guys need some opinions

<t> Although I am still learning how these number actually effect gameplay when changed, one thing I have problems with is that in some instances, say long campaign and some scenarios (not all), Japanese morale seems too low. IJA troops suffered 99% casualties, not by routing and running away, but ...
