Quick Watson! I need a quote.

Who gave us the chestnut about all our strategies going to pot in the face of the enemy? I need the real quote and the quoter.

My wife is doing a report on a forest fire and why it went wrong and she thought this would be perfect. me too.[&o]

<t>I started playing these hex based games with SPI and though I don't have it anyway more still have fond memories of it. Glad that SPWAW came along cuz I had nothing that I could run on Win2K. But I miss Age of Rifles. Wish there was something to replace it. Tried Talonsoft's East Front but never ...

Thanks. I'm well aquainted with getting tossed out of a campaign cuz of poor performance. I just feel I'm missing out of someone's hard work and feel... I don't know, maybe not doing my part to appreciate the author's work.

Playing skipped scenarios from a campaign

<t>I play a scenario from a compaign until I get a DV so I can play the next with my core units rather than squander them. I know the next will be hard even with them and without them it's a forlorn hope. But this means I've missed an opportunity to play another scenario. Is there a way I can play ...

I'd like to get a mega campaign

<r>I'm intrigued by the idea of the mega campaign but have never played one. I'd be interested in buying any, particularly the North African campaign (one I understand is no longer in print) from anyone willing to part with one. <br/>

I forgot the extra extra credit.

The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.

And I live in the cess pool of socialism, the left coast and near Seattle and Gomorrah.

I've been struggling with "Long Road to Victory". For many attempts I used some 3"ATRs. Couldn't hit my chest if I pointed to it. Then I bought some 57mm guns. Can't miss, and nothing stands in its way. My fave ATR anyway.

Too smart formy owwn good

<t>Just a rhetorical comment. It never fails. The more I play a scenario the worse I do. Just when I figure out where and when my enemy is they fool me and kill all my tanks and infantry in one swell foop. For the record I'm playing the 2nd scenario of "Long road to victory". How is it I have kills ...

ATR sound effects

<t>Some ATRs sound good but others sound like a volley of rifle fire. I'd like all my ATRs to sound a bit more formidable when popping off. How do I change the sound effects for any particular weapon and make it default for whatever scenario I might play?<br/>

I understand about VHs in previous versions of SP but still what is the point of continuing a scenario when the other side grabs the special VHs in the first turn. If my opponent has won before I even start why play? Or what do I need to do differently?

Pardon my ig'rance

I've seen references to H2H. Besides meaning 'head to head' is it something I need to get excited about being strictly a 'me verses Colossus' player?
