Yes, there is a way to split sqns into two. You have to use the editor located in the Scenarios folder. It is quite easy. Just find the sqn. that you want to split in the Air Groups page. Find a blank line and create your edits.

You can add new squadrons but don't try to add amaments to the aircraft types that you select. Your edits won't take for the planes. The game will default to generic pilots for your squadrons.<br/>

The Editor is found in the Scen Folder also. Open the Scen Folder and go to the last row of files. Double click the Icon there.
