Know what you mean

<r>An excerpt from my new AAR:<br/>
<br/>
<I><s></s>A massive strike containing 92 Zeros, 22 Nells and 19 Bettys flies to Port Moresby to attack three transports unloading supplies. Since the Japanese had been concentrating on Lunga for the most part in recent days, only 2 Wildcats are in the air ...

<r>Gotta agree with you. It is kinda annoying at times not being able to move the window out of the way. But UV is still one of the best Grigsby-interface type games thats been done.<br/>
<br/>
Compare UV to <I><s></s>12 o'Clock High<e></e></I> and you'll know what I'm talkin' about. <E>:)</E ...

<t>Just a note to inform you guys that Spooky has been kind enough to put my AAR up on his site. The one that I sent him is the same as the one you can download above but is updated with some minor corrections I made (spelling, grammar, things like that).<br/>
<br/>
Other than that it's the same.<br ...

<r>Yes, I did the Alt-Tab thing after each "day" and typed my comments directly on the combat report. I then saved them using a different file name to another location and then resumed the game. I also jotted down my plans for the day (when needed) and added them to the report later. And I still ...

Arrgh! I know it.

Thats what I get for forgetting to turn OFF "React to Enemy" while I'm trying to pull my forces together. Hence my frustration in the AAR.

But hey, it's a newb thing and I have learned. :)

<r>I agree. As I said, I'm only planning to do the highlights of my actions to show my thinking process, my decision making (and it hasn't always been smart), and combat results. I am basing almost everything on the combat reports but am redoing them in a more readable format. It may still be dry in ...

The Mother of All AAR's

<r>The mind is willing, but the time...<br/>
<br/>
I'm talking, of course, of a full scenario 17 AAR from the U.S. side. I started on it about two months ago and have added a bit to it every week. I'm halfway through July '42 right now and plan to release it via Adobe PDF. I plan to release it in ...

Sweetness.

Finally! My lucky day.

Wife's going to have to go to work for at least 8 hours tomorrow (tax season, works for a CPA). Still don't know if that's enough time to "test" the new patch, though. I'll do me best.

Too much UV.

You know you've played too much UV when your actually arguing tactics at the TV while watching History Channel documentaries about the War in the Pacific.

"Well, if MacArthur had sent his B-17's in at 100 feet, then...(insert tactical outcome here)!"

Simple

<r>It's obvious that it has to do with that tiny but often overlooked miracle of the WW2 naval battlefield, the potato (aka: spud, flying hash brown, war-winner). Please refer to the "Why is THIS STILL not MODELED?!?!?!?!" thread for futher enlightenment on this misunderstood period of naval warfare ...

From what I've read since I got the game, my vote has to go to Mogami.
