Real time or Turn based combat, which do you prefer?

I have enjoyed watching the battles unfold in real time at 1X speed. I haven't tried the turn based combat yet... is it any good? Which style do you use?

Matrix should use this time to get the game out to the public before MOO3 does ship. I personally won't play MOO3 (too much micromanagement) but people like yourself will be itching to play something.

<t>I had 2 gunships and 2 scouts. 1 gunship and one scout would top off thier crew but the other 2 would not. They would only maintain a 1 member and 4 member crew. I used a relic for ship upgrade and built a cruiser late in the game and both those ships topped off but the other 2 would still not ...

I also found an amusing statement in one of the articles I read prior to purchasing the game. It stated that the game plays more like Star Trek than any Star Trek game ...
