<r>FWIW - one thing to remember when people say "A score like that from Gamespot" is that most reviews such as that one are written by freelancers. For example, I write for Computer Gaming World, Computer Games Magazine, Gamespot, and Gamespy. So any single review is the opinion of that particular ...

I kinda consider that a feature and not a bug. ;) I always turn the music off in games like this.

<t>The problem with most RTS games is that they turn into hectic click-fests, with little time for planning and strategy. Don't get me wrong - I like Rise of Nations, e.g. But it would take a lot to make an RTS feel like a true simulation of battle simply because of the micromanagement that is ...

Was this the full campaign or a smaller scenario? At what level did you have the computer set? And what was your strategy that rolled the AI up so completely?

Yep. the way to think about it is to think of how it would work if you were playing this as a board game - you would still use the same die, and so you would still roll a 1-6, then apply the bonus when looking up the results on the CRT.

Heh, well, I'm doing a review of KP, so they won't all be done by "young 'uns" (I'm significantly older than you. ;) )

<t>One caveat - I went in to the load game screen just to see what saves were there. All that was there was an autosave. I deleted that. Then I was stuck - there's no "back" or "Main" button, all you can do from that screen is load a game. I had to shut the game down and restart it to get out of ...

A small nit-pick: it would be a nice UI touch if, when you hit the Max or Add Artillery buttons, the artillery unit/units chosen were highlighted in some way. Not a biggie, just something that would be nice.

Question on potential bug re: scenario selection

<r>Is it not possible to stop in the middle of a scenario and select another one? I was playing the 1st Ukraine, stopped in the middle and wanted to switch to the full campaign to try something. Identifying Arty chosen for attack

Loving the game, but there's one thing I haven't figured out how to do (I'm sure I've just overlooked it) - when you press the Arty button to add artillery to an attack, how can you tell from looking at the map which artillery has been selected?

Thanks,

Jeff
