I was about to order WitE but was peturbed by the lack of the famous gold padlock which signifies that my info (credit card details, address etc.) was going between me and the vendor by encrypted SSL.<br/>

RE: New v1.094b Public Beta Now Available!

Jesus f****** Christ on a crutch. I've just spent half an hour dancing around your ridiculous members scheme to get this patch. As far as I can see there is no 'private download'.

Gads you're annoying.

RE: Withdrawals again - ships this time

ORIGINAL: Terminus

No. With the UK present on the map, where do you think the British "home base" is?

Karachi apparently.

Thanks to all bar one for the replies - much appreciated!

RE: Mental block regarding Base VP values

Many thanks for the explanation ctangus. I confess that I never made it to page 200 in my investigation, I only looked under the bases chapter&nbsp;in the manual which was completely unhelpful - unlike yourself.

Mental block regarding Base VP values

<t> After getting back into WitP I can't for the life of me remember what the VP per base which displays on a mouse floatover - for example Allied Value (0)1 - is supposed to mean. The manual contains nothing and a search of this forum got me nothing obvious.<br/>

<t> Hi fellas, got back into WitP after a long break thanks to CHS & am enjoying it more than ever.<br/>

RE: 92 Years ago today.........

<t> Yes but the reason that the peace was 'destructive' was that it was a 'bad' peace because it let Germany build upon an improved postition, and in effect was not worth the paper that it was written on. It suprises me to see people nearly&nbsp;90 years later buying into the same old 'harsh' crap ...

RE: 92 Years ago today.........

<t> Ursa - you are just reinforcing what I outlined. Have a look at Europe in 1919. Germany was actually stronger than in 1914, her neighbours were wrecked. No more Russian (revolution), Austro-Hungarian (dismembered), British (bankrupt), or French (hamstrung) power blocs to worry about. The only ...

RE: 92 Years ago today.........

<t> Some of you guys need to pick up one of the more modern assesments of the so-called 'harsh' Treaty of Versailles. You are repeating the same rubbish that right wingers in 1920s and 1930s Germany did.<br/>
<br/>
Versailles was flawed because it was far too lenient. The financial penalties were ...

Yeah, having cossacks retreat towards friendly territory would help to solve most of this.

RE: Retreat route for armies

Completely agree. I really hope that 'retreating' armies can be made to stop going further into the victors territory - it's very silly.
