Re: Bottlenecks Mod: Updated Jan 16, 2026

Thanks for the clarification. Playing head-to-head against myself is actually more the rule than the exception for me as well, but in this particular game I find it far too time-consuming and mostly useful just for learning.

I’d be open to trying a PBEM on the Allied side, but definitely not in a ...

Re: Bottlenecks Mod: Updated Jan 16, 2026

That’s a great piece of work. I’d really love to give it a try sometime. Does it support AI as well, or is it only for multiplayer? I’ve just come back to the game after a few years, so I don’t think I’m quite ready for it yet. But overall, I think the idea is fantastic, and I’d definitely like to ...

Re: LCU list DPI Issues

Try adjusting your DPI setting lower. I have mine at 100%....GP

Setting UI scaling to 100% makes EVERYTHING tiny. So can this game handle 4K displays with reasonably sized text?

Do you have dual video cards? Try 125 DPI....

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have tested 125% as well, and ...

LCU list DPI Issues

Hi everyone,
I recently purchased the game and while I am very interested in the depth of the simulation, I am struggling with severe UI scaling issues on a high-end 4K environment.
My System Specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5080
RAM: 64 GB
OS: Windows 11
Display: 4K (3840x2160 ...

Found the sub, banged away with sonar and it came to the surface, time eventually ran out. Nothing else happened.

Mission 1 Invasion fuel planning

Can anyone tell me what the a/c loadout modifiers are for fuel consumption? The burn rate value in the database only gives a base value for a clean configuration. Planning is a bit tricky without it and not very realistic either.

This is a workaround, but it can hardly be the solution! I hope we get a fixed version of the file soon.

RE: Graphical update in the works?

A "remastered" edition with a new front end is definitely in order (DOS is dead!). No need to redo the whole game from scratch. Replace the large bitmaps with vector gfx, so it's zoomable and smooth with no pixelation. And needs much less memory.

RE: 3M14 Klub

I didn't mean to criticize the work (far from it!) but wanted to know how this stuff works, especially when there are such huge swings in particular data.

RE: 3M14 Klub

That's why I'm asking! I'm fairly new to CMANO and I want to know what I can expect from the DB. I don't expect precise data for the most modern systems but that this particular system was off by a factor of 10 surprised me.

RE: 3M14 Klub

Apparently the DB authors did until recently! Which begs the question how reliable the DB information is.

RE: 3M14 Klub

A factor of ten is quite a bit. But by 'independent' I mean in the scientific sense, not a source of a faction that is involved in an ongoing war. If that's even possible. I don't know.

RE: AGEOD Games and Leberwurst

<t> I agree, although I made that experience with BOA already. I don't necessarily agree on the AI, though, because it's got that whack-a-mole feel and doesn't seem to be affected by cohesion as much. But in PBEM....wow! Haven't done that in ages btw. Anyway, the game mechanics are hitting a sweet ...

RE: Vyazma pocket woes

<r> It didn't occur to me to utilize the zones of control in this way. What I had tried to do was to stick closer to the historical setup. That resulted in Sov divs bound for Berlin after turn 2! [X(] But now I gave a wider berth and also didn't try to close the pocket on turn 1. I guess I'm getting ...
