RE: GamersHell download site and spyware

<t> Spybot S&D is actually pretty well spot on normally.<br/> <br/> And Plloyd, yes Mozilla/Firefox are good, but not all spyware works via your browser and email clients, nor are their blocks perfect especially since sometimes you're going to hit sites where you need to use IE, for example if y...

RE: Steel Panthers: World At War General's Edition is Now Available!

<t> My money is on the KV1, though the Pz III might get lucky or the player just sneaky.<br/> <br/> The Russians definitely had superior armour to the Germans to begin with, now if only their tactics, supply, and morale had been as good. I personally will be interested in seeing how my players cope ...

RE: In Anticipation of 8.2

*shrugs* I'd say maybe except for the fact I live in 800*600 normally, and even adjusting brightness and contrast whilst in the game makes no difference.

RE: In Anticipation of 8.2

<r> At present I only see one fix that definitely needs to be made and I mentioned it before, and it's not a database fix it's a visual fix. I can't play 8.x versions because the game overrides my gamma and brightness settings, and has none of it's own so I'm stuck trying hard to spot my light tan t...

If you drove a Cooper Mini to work wouldn't you expect to be laughed at by the people driving the more up market cars?

How is this any different? You're driving a Chevy while we drive a Porsche. :-)

Oh the wet paper bag armour armour was an innovative approach, well soaked in fuel it burnt up quickly so the crew didn't suffer much. :)

Can anyone feel the love of the Shermans flowing in this topic?

You waste 50 rounds from your tanks trying to kill a snotty little PzIIIf (Never happened to me but it's fun watching it happen to my opponent).

<t>*Sighs and aims his 12 gauge at the whinger* You people make me sick, what exactly are you complaining about? Is 7.1 in anyway unplayable? Are the inaccuracies in the OOBs crippling? Survivability. I'll always love a PzIII I'm driving that nobody seems able to hit or kill while it's digging into the enemy forces.

I am actually working on a mod which incorporates *some* modern day units, though the stats are off a bit, but then they're there for a "ancient history" section of a campaign (don't ask just understand it's set about 5000AD predominantly). Just seeing how well the engine copes with fun stuff.

I'm just glad development is being done, I personally couldn't give a **** about the release date. I've come across too many brilliant projects that were let down by developers who lost interest, or were scared away by idiots who have no idea what the trials of programming can be like.

<t>I don't know he was actually being sarcastic Bernie. It's rare for a game to be released on schedule, and are often YEARS not just months overdue. How long were Command & Conquer fans made to wait for Tiberian Suns? That is a good example. Duke Nukem Forever I remember TV ads for several year...
