What do you do as german player in mud turns?

Seems like theres not much you can do. Seems like suicide to attack with armor or mechanized units. Infantry attacks seems hit and miss. Do you just focus on maintenance and do what you can or does it make sense to rest units then? Any other suggestions for mud turns?

Taking WITE's game engine-what would be your prefered next game?

<t> I have played AH games and computer strategy games from about 1980 and I really think this game has hit an amazing balance of complexity/reality and most importantly - fun factor. What theater would you like to see this game engines applied too? I would like either a western front from normandy ...

RE: For those taking Leningrad

<t> lots of good tips thanks. I am only playing AI. I seemed to get the closest and best success by trying the right or left hook approach. Trying to trick the AI as much as possible. I learned if you mass units as a Leningrad first strartegy the AI catches on so you definately got to have good ...

What does refit/reserve status have on combat?

I noticed sometimes a unit I pull off front lines for refit will suddenly be on front lines in combat if a breakout happens. If I forget to change its status does it matter for its combat effictiveness? Same question for reserve status?

RE: Favorite Gary Grigsby Game

I have been an avid wargamer since avalon hill board games. This War in the East is by far the best game ever. Its so good I would love for them to come up with a North African campagin version of tihjs game with the same supplie princibles with supply ZOC's etc.

Based on playing this game...

Sorry if slightly off topic...but I had to comment.

There must be a crazy amount of war wreckage/tanks/undiscovered plane wrecks etc etc left in the real Russia today. There must have been thousands of individual battles. From major ones to small skirmishs.
