RE: AA sees through smoke?

<t> Tell me if this is correct, you somke one hex, and move your unit into that hex, but the hexes on the sides are not smoked? If this is the case, you need to smoke the hexes on the side, not the one that you move your unit into, otherwise it will do nothing. If you did smoke the hexes on the side ...

RE: Help! (Preparing the Way)

<r> Preparing the way is indeed one of the premade campaigns, set in North Africa. It's not an amphibious mission. I would suggest playing the tutorial and reading the manual, and possibly reading some tactics guides online, such as <LINK link="http://spwaw.com/lholttg/spwawtg1.htm"><s>[link=http ...

RE: Poll: How long are your generated campaigns?/Newb. question

Hmm intereasting idea playing the germans with only (mostly?) Italian equipment. Ok, I'm pretty sure that I know what use a map would be to me now.

Poll: How long are your generated campaigns?/Newb. question

<t> So, I'm curious, how long do most of you make your generated campaigns? 10 Missions? 20? 30? 50? Max? <br/>
<br/>
And I have another question, about maps that you can download. What are they for? Scenario designers? are they different from a scnario? Can you (could I) somehow put them into a ...

RE: Long Campaign Report--The Old Breed 1942-45

I kinda hate to complain at all since this is awsome, I'm really enjoying it, but...

Shouldn't this be in the AAR\DAR section?

Anyway, great job, can't wait for more updates.

RE: Who Reads DAR/AAR's?

KG I would be intereasted in reading any AAR/DARs of campaigns. Minefield seems to have found an acceptable way of attaching an image in his latest AAR/DAR. Anyway if you want to write one, I would cetianly read it.

RE: Who Reads DAR/AAR's?

<t> I do, I just can't seem to get enough of them, especially those that are written well. Ex. from the viewpoint of some soldier, but still manages to catch all of the important details. Those are alot more intereasting then somthing like "and then my tank died, but it shot it's machine gun 4 times ...

RE: To New Forum Members: Check in Here

<t> Welcome to the SPWAW board, as you can see in my above post,I'm also kinda new here. If you didn't already know this, you can also dowload Steel Panthers: World War 2, another full, free SP mod. I'm not necisarely recommending it, i'm just thinking that you might be intreasted. I play both, and ...

RE: GE Special Ops Sqd

<t> Unit number 117 of the USMC Oob, 105mm Howitzer, is available from Dec. 1949 to 1949. But the offboard variant of this same arilery piece (#123 105mm How Bty) is available from Aug 1942-1949.This seems to me to be a rather apparent error [X(] (once it's found). Please fix this or explain to my ...

RE: 2 *really* intereasting questions

<t> Thanks for the explination about the campaigns. I looked in the encylopedia, and found that the 81mm mortar has an explosive radius of 5 and the 75mm has 4. But what I was really questioning was that should an 81mm mortar have a bigger explosion then the 75mm howitzer. Mabie this one should have ...

RE: Early end or escape

<t> Well, if you have XP you should be able to press Alt and F4. This command will end the program immeadiatly, causing you to loose anything that has happened since your last savegame. Other windows commands include pressing Alt and Tab - this activates one of the other applicaions open, if SP is ...

2 *really* intereasting questions

<t> As one of your neighborhood noobies, I feel obliged to ask a few questions [;)]:<br/>
<br/>
1. What is the difference between the long campaign and the WW2 campaign?<br/>
<br/>
2. What would really have a bigger explosion, a 81mm mortar, or a 75mm howitzar?<br/>
<br/>
Well Hopefully ...
