Early end or escape

Post by Shawmut »

Apart from what follows, this (SPWW) is the best invitiation game to thinking non-shoot-em-up games.

Escape, ending or getting out. Sometimes I must get out of the game. While doing a turn, there is no problem with ^mark on the sideboard. But occasionnally I must break between that aspect and the 'processing of opposite (computer's turn).
If I use keyboard 'escape' it doesn't end the program. Several times I have had to shut-down the PC to end it[&:]. This is also the case when I just must interrupt or have noticed an error.
There must be an easy asnwer to this that I'm overlooking.[:(]

Well, if you have XP you should be able to press Alt and F4. This command will end the program immeadiatly, causing you to loose anything that has happened since your last savegame. Other windows commands include pressing Alt and Tab - this activates one of the other applicaions open, if SP is the only one then it will go to the desktop. Both Alt and Esc, and the windows button will open the start menu, alt-tabing to the desktop. This may work in older versions of windows, but I'm not sure since I use XP. I don't konw of any way for you to save SP during the opponents turn.
