Direct fire hard-coded?

I was thinking about a mod at a lower scale, but chatting with AI just now (hehe), it sounds like direct fire is hard-coded at one hex only? It would certainly be a very “hacky” mod, but something at company/battalion level would need multi-hex direct fire.

Platoon level possible?

Haven’t played the game too much yet, but I’ve been itching to do some type of platoon/200 meters scenario on one
of these engines.

However, reading through the manual, if I understand correctly, some calculations are based on 10 men,
not per man. It looks units could even dissolve at 20
men or so ...

Hi, should this mod still work? I unzipped it into campaigns as the instructions say, but it doesn't show up in the scenario list or in settings/mods.

Thank you for the calculator, but is it still working correctly? I'm getting strange results, like penetration increasing over range, or penetration decreasing to 0 and then increasing again. I'm only editing fields B1 and D1.

Bah, sorry, looking at the time stamps for those errors and the time stamps for when I posted here, it looks like all of those happened during my install attempts, not the in game crashes. The file errors were probably from trying to install again to a directory that had a partial install.

So yeah ...

Looks like the error logs must be something else. I crashed again when I zoomed all the way down to a vehicle and nothing was added to the log. It may have something to do with performance, zooming to the vehicle and having most of the map drawing at once.

Thanks. I eventually got it working by installing & updating in windows safe mode.

However! I'm getting clean crashes to desktop every ~15 minutes of gameplay. Does it spit out a crash log somewhere that might be of use? Windows 11.

Hi, trying to install the game for the first time using the 1.577 installer. Everything works correctly until the "installing files" stage which gets between a third to half of the progress bar then crashes/disappears. I've tried different hard drive & installer locations. Ran with and without ...

Oh! I think I found my issue. The default order for placed units seems to be "screen." Once I changed everything to "hold" and then set them to locked, it seemed to work correctly. I'm a doofus, they were doing exactly what I told them to, heh.
