Soviet 16th Army

<r> 16th army is a unique Army for the soviets. Its one of the smallest with only 6 divisions.<br/>
<br/>
My latest game since the patch. This Army was given the prestigious defense of Vitebsk. <br/>
Imagine my surprise when only 1 division showed up for muster. This can only be the fault of its ...

Marsh hex

<r> In the middle of the marsh is a strange hex. It looks swampy with a little woods. The road runs through it.<br/>
But when looked at closely. Its rated as a plains hex. Is this correct? <br/>
There are a couple more marshy looking hexes that are rated as plains in the swamp also. <br/>

Korea or Vietnam would be interesting conflicts to model also.

RE: Soviet Replacements

<r> Thanks for the info. Have noticed when the last unit is gone the HQ disbands. So you need at least 1 unit to keep the HQ alive. <br/>
Maybe its time to send the HQ's out for a glorious departure. So the remaining units can reattach to a more robust HQ. <br/>

Or just leave Khrushchev, in ...

Even though you dislike East Front games. Warspite1 has a good AAR story in progress. The game is a rare blend of RP and war-game. <br/>

Soviet Replacements

When do replacements begin to arrive for the soviet player?
Is there a way to attach or detach divisions to rebuild a shattered Army?
Great Game!

The game has an AI and is very unique for a war-game. Highly Recommend you check it out. <br/>
Might be just what you need in a game. [:D]<br/>

<r> Thanks for the info about randomized soviet setup. <br/>
Call it coincidence that Grodno and Przemysl, both had garrisons when I created a game for this post. [X(]<br/>

RE: Halder

<r> The Roleplay aspect is rare and special for a war-game. Wish it was as deep for the Soviet side. The fact you can play with or without it makes it a gem of a game. <br/>
The quotes from Halder's diary got me interested in who this man was. Found this tidbit of info about him.<br/>

RE: 2nd Army

<t> The setup for a human vs human game is slightly different vs the AI. There is a garrison unit sitting in Grodno and Przemysl vs the AI. Human USSR player is not given these units. There is also the random crt that can foil any plan. Could be other factors. But those 2 units do make a difference ...
