RE: VietNam 65-68 Scenario - Nuclear Attack?

Very odd indeed, and wrong as you say...don't know how to paste a screenshot but situation briefing makes no mention of nukes.

VietNam 65-68 Scenario - Nuclear Attack?

<t> Ok into May '65 and US Marines and special forces are pushing back VC around Hue, pushing north near DMZ and planning to attack NVA there. Enjoying the scenario very much - then out of the blue I see nuclear contamination markers pop up at Phan Thiet (96, 129). Very little damage done to ARVN ...

Germans needed for 43-45 GC

I can play at your pace. Ideal would be one turn daily, but less frequently is ok too.

RE: Veteran wants 1.04 GC

Hello Von Beanie - I also have about a month of free time right now and can do one turn a day thereafter. Never played pbem but a lot against the AI. Also have never tried the Confederate side. If you want somebody a little more experienced I understand.

RE: Standalone..

Exactly. I was thinking from what I read on the various product pages that future scenarios would just install under the original AJE game. I would have waited also, and for the same reason as Wodin.

<t> TulliusDetritus: You are exactly right. It cannot be summed it up better. <t> 'Strategy: If you've not already discovered it, I highly recommend the book "Shattered Sword" which is the story of Midway from the Japanese perspective. The book's praises have been sung on many threads in this forum and rightly so, it's a great read. Will not only give you a fascinating ...

RE: PWHEX Data Differs?

Ok I just found the file in the game directory and I can compare notes with my partner, maybe try to figure out how this happened. Probably something dumb I did...

What does this file do? I see it has a .DAT extension.

Sorry, is that a part of the program code? If we're using the same beta version shouldn't that be the same?

PWHEX Data Differs?

Just starting a new PBEM with my Japanese opponent - first turn file he sends me I get the following message: "PWHex data differs. Continue? Y / N"

Can somebody tell me why that happened and if its a problem please?

We are using beta: 1108K9 from April 24th

RE: If you could be in a battle during WW2

I'd rather be playing AE. there's no blood and guts involved when I (inevitably) screw up and get my digital soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen killed.

<t> I agree with Bullwinkle. You're certainly cutting your opponent a lot of slack on point #1. Agsint my PBEM partner, I just staged a couple of crusier TF raids on the North Shore of New Guineau to bust up some small Japanese TFs unloading there. It's January 1942 and I could not exactly ...
