Looking for a Soviet opponent - full campaign

<r> Hi,<br/>
<br/>
My current opponent is unfortunately facing a pretty severe bout of ill-health, and while I wish him a speedy recovery, he has indicated to me that, at least for the medium-term, he will be unable to continue our game. <br/>
<br/>
As such, I am looking for a Soviet opponent ...

Effect of bringing Rommel to the East?

<t> Hi,<br/>
<br/>
What is the effect on the Afrika Korps of taking Rommel and bringing him to the East? He is a great general that I would love to have on the Eastern front, but I am afraid if I do this Africa might collapse much quicker than historically. <br/>

Semi-random skills for generals

<t> Hi,<br/>
<br/>
As the game currently is, you as the player have full visibility on all of your generals' skills. Obviously this makes no sense. The progression of WW2 did see generals getting gradually better (particularly on the Soviet side), but this wasn't a straightforward process. <br ...

Design decisions behind removing several WITE1 uses of APs?

<t> Title says it all. I saw the thread where players talked about swimming in APs starting in 1942, and it just reminded me that in WITE1 you needed APs to switch divisions around different corps, for example. That seemed a fine and good use of APs to me. I wonder why the devs thought to remove it ...

Which leaders to fire

<t> Hi guys,<br/>
<br/>
I was wondering if there was any consensus on who should get the boot in terms of German generals, and who they should be replaced with? Franz Halder is pretty darn terrible, for example, but I am not sure how worth it it would be to replace him with someone better. And who ...

RE: Question about theater boxes

<t> Thanks for the quick answer! <br/>
<br/>
Regarding 2) OK, so, taking the example of transferring troops from WE to NA; I can see that if I, say, transfer the Denmark SS regiment the troop quota for WE goes down from something like 93 to 92% (i.e. 1% difference). But, given that there are over ...

Question about theater boxes

<r> Hi,<br/>
<br/>
I'm starting to get into the game (which is really great by the way; a really big improvement on WITE!) and I had a few questions that, by the life of me, I could not find answered in the manual. <br/>
<br/>
1) If you are playing with air AI assist, is it impossible to ...

Opponent wanted for full campaign

<t> Hi guys,<br/>
<br/>
I haven't played WITP for the past... perhaps 4 years. Having a kid in the meantime made things... difficult. But now the kid is a bit older, I'm still stuck in quarantine, and I'm feeling the itch of going back...back to the Pacific!<br/>
<br/>
So, if anybody is willing ...

Soviet opponent wanted

<t> EDIT: Game taken!<br/>
<br/>
So, I've lost my second game of WITE now as the Germans. The good news on my end is that I seem to have improved significantly over my first attempt. So, I'm still a newb, but less of one. Third time's a charm I guess! <br/>
<br/>
I've gone ahead and created a ...

Looking for 1941-1945 Soviet player

<t> Hi, <br/>
<br/>
<br/>
So, after posting here roughly 1 week ago, I am back looking for a new game, after a humiliating defeat as the germans in the winter of 1941. That'll teach me to try for a fall offensive... <br/>
<br/>
So, I am looking for a soviet player to face me in what will be my ...

Looking for Soviet opponent 41-45 (closed)

<t> Hi there,<br/>
<br/>
After a rather difficult foray into PBEM, I would like to try again! <br/>
<br/>
My proposed settings are: random weather, no soviet attack bonus, and FOW for both sides. <br/>
<br/>
<br/>
I've already gone ahead and created a game on the server under my nickname ...

Beginner looking for Soviet player

<t> Hi there, <br/>
<br/>
I'm an old wargame grognard, but a beginner at War in the East, and I'm looking for a commited soviet player for a full campaign. <br/>
<br/>
I've done about 10 turns as the Germans against the AI, so I have a general idea how things work, but I'm sure to still have a ...

<r> That's great to hear! It always makes my day when I hear that a listener enjoyed the podcast <E>:)</E> Since there's really no monetary aspect to this, the real pleasure I get from podcasting (apart from the fun research in itself) is knowing that people are listening at the other end! <br ...

RE: The History of Exploration

Cheers! I should have mentioned, I have improved the audio for this new episode (and all following ones as well)! So, if you think the audio is kind of crappy for the first 2 episodes or so, try powering through until you reach episode 3A and see if that works better for you :)
