RE: Is the game I was hoping for

So far, I'm finding that this game isn't what I hoped for either; my CD isn't here yet!!!

RE: Digital Download and CD-On Demand <- READ

<t> I just ordered and chose the CD on command option, I'm not going to download - due to being dial-up and some Internet problems I've been having. The system never asked me for a shipment address, does that mean it automatically ships to the billing address? Totally fine that's where I would've ...

RE: One more question

<t> Is my understanding correct that this game was demoed at Origins? If that's the case, I would think that would be a good clue on how far along the project is, ie. you wouldn't want to show too raw of a product.<br/>

Sorry if this seems like too reduntant of a question, but sometimes all ...

I probably purchase only about 2 games per year, but Matrix has a large number in queue that I find incredibly interesting, might change.<br/>

RE: The price of entertainment

CMBB was at least, but I think CMAK is at its initial price. It's been awhile since I've bought it though.

Honestly, I think the new prices are starting to push the boundaries, but I don't think that they've gone beyond them yet.

RE: Tactical Game

I second the request for a tactical game. One that focuses on maneuver takes a little emphasis of of how one prepares ones planes, although I wouldn't want that aspect completely ignored.

Strategic, operational, and tactical levels all offer their own goodies and I love them all.

RE: What is WitP to you?

<t> What I look forward to in WitP, and what I've liked about most Gary Grigsby games, is the fact that there's the big sweeping strategy element, allowing history to be changed; yet there's also enough detail to see all of the different hardware. The hardware has always been what has interested me ...

More Detailed Manual

<t> It has been mentioned on the forum that WitP will have a more detailed manual than UV. Based on this, do the testers etc. consider it likely that if there is a particular item we have trouble figuring out, that we will be able to now? <br/>

I was able to workaround the item that I didn't ...

RE: Tedium?

Wow! that's the most ringing endorsement I've heard for a wargame in a long while.

I just hope my budget can hold up through BiN, WitP, the new Airborne Assault game and Battlefields.

RE: Tedium?

<t> Well, obviously there isn't 100% agreement on the subject. But, I think that I've been convinced to risk a few $ and buy BiN. So far my favorite operational/grand tactical scale game is HttR. It's barely large enough scale to qualify, but I like how the system really focuses on plan more than ...

Tedium?

<t> I have recently become interested in playing games about Normandy again so I got out my copy of Panzer Campaign Normandy '44. After getting very used to Uncommon Valor, Highway to the Reich and Combat Mission, there seems to be a lot of tedium in running a Panzer Campaign game. So I was ...
