One minor problem: in atmospheric missions (there are no G problems in space) you already can pull 40-60+ Gs. If you were to add blackouts and redouts, you would have to change quite a bit, wouldn't you?

Shields and disable status

This may be a stupid question but I don't seem to be able to set up a capacitor shield that stops bolt and beam weapons but not missle weapons. Also, while I'm posting, I'd like to ask if the game actually can consider a ship disabled?

Yes, well I'm afraid that that is one of the many reasons that you shouldn't be dogfighting in a Thunderbolt.

I was wondering if the video.cfg file in the demo still works in version 4.00? I need to know this before buying the game because I wasn't able to play the game until changing that file to say 800x600x16.
