RE: Difference in Scale Between the Two Games

Were boxes not considered to represent areas of the globe that will never be used? I am not sure in a large scale strategic wargame that armoured trains, AA and anti-tanks units are absolutely necessary.

RE: Difference in Scale Between the Two Games

<t> <br/>
Let's face it in WWII lots of the world map is redundant. Most of Africa, Australia, South Pacific, Central Russia won't figure unless its a fantasy and all of South America is of little value. I think the Devs could have been more creative with the map and perhaps broken in down into ...

RE: Map Size

<t> Just like to echo Seydlitz on this scale of the map it should just be Army and Corps and HQ's. The Corps being for Armour, Paras, marines etc. Artillery units just do not make sense this scale. Armies should have an artillery value which Corps don't get. For naval and air it should be Task ...

Its very simple for this game since naval units are not involved.

A trivial point...but Desert War does include naval units.<br/>

More significantly, a Campaign for ...

RE: Tiger, Tiger Burning Bright: Why Kursk is the Most Overhyped Battle in History

<t> <br/>
In sheer numbers of obsolete equipment that had lost utility on the Western Front Kursk is impressive. A World War one battle fought in the Second world War. When you look at the industrial capacity to mount the V program, the U Boat War, Air War not to overlook flak all facing west its ...

RE: WitE 2

<t> <br/>
The principle problem for me with both outings was logistics and its relationship with the game. Once a front was broken in the East (or west) it was impossible to reconstitute a new one until the attacker ran out of steam. In both campaigns we have depth of frontages and unit densities ...

RE: Wellington Question

It helped as well that it's skin was made out of doped linen like the Hurricane which the UK produced domestically in huge amounts so both marks weren't a critical resource or shipping hog.

RE: Wellington Question

Most of the Wellingtons in the Med ended up Liberators and Im sure most ended up Halifax or Lancaster with Bomber command. I Think Hampdens Whitleys and Wellingtons should have a path to Heavies

One functional side effect Im noticing in having wings rather than squadrons is its much easier to catch when a type is running out of planes and does not destroy their utility if you overlook that a couple of turns.
