Thanks for that.

Very interested to hear what they´re planning for this great series.

Re: Matrix Games is the new Home of Combat Mission

So, it´s been 4 months or so since the announcement that Matrix Games is taking over the CM series.

Have there been any indications yet from Matrix about what their plans are for the future of the series?

Apologised if I´ve missed something.

Re: Allies Victorious: D-Day - How to blow the Railway Bridge

Thanks, Pulig.

I actually got an answer on the more-populated Steam discussion group, which worked very well: once you load the airborne unit(s) onto the C-47s at the airfield in the top right of the map, two deployment hexes will appear near to the Carentan bridge, so you don't actually need to ...

Allies Victorious: D-Day - How to blow the Railway Bridge

Hi,

Just into this following recent release and am struggling to fulfil the secondary objective of blowing the railway bridge near Carentan by Turn 6.

It earns the US 400 RP, so it is worth it, but I can't work out how to achieve it by Turn 6.

Land forces can't seem to get there quickly enough ...

Thanks, EwaldvonKleist.

That brings up Notepad for me, and it's a useful tool indeed.

I often change the colour of units, so the as Axis the Corps with the best leaders get to be a darker shade than the other Corps in that army.
I like the idea of re-colouring the units into groups, e.g. all greens advancing along axis x-y-z.

Good call, thanks.

Re: How do you all make notes?

Loki suggestion of AARs may help, writing out your thoughts and using screenshots is helpful.

Indeed, I can see how that would be useful, Zovs.

May just be a step too far for me however in terms of process and time!

Would be lovely to be able to do something along these lines in-game, but I ...

Re: How do you all make notes?

Interesting and contrasting approaches from loki and Zovs. Thanks for those.

So, as I suspected, there is no in-game mechanism for note taking or placing markers/arrows, etc. on the map or or for making notes relevant to specific units (kind of like making comments in an Excel cell)?

Looks like I ...

How do you all make notes?

I'm interested in hearing how other players make notes given the complexity of the game and the large number of units in play.

What I mean is this: personally I find it challenging to remember (especially if days elapse between turns) what my intentions were for given units or groups of units, e.g ...

Yes, we plan on putting out expansions with additional scenarios and campaigns. We're working on many now, and several of them have been in early testing for the past month or so. We aren't yet at liberty to give out additional details. In the near future we expect to be recruiting additional ...

Re: Will there be more scenarios?

@loki100

Thanks, good to hear.

Some of the scenarios are good for learning particularly key elements of the gameplay such as the encirclement/pocket process, and it would be good to see some more smaller scenarios that enable the player to learn about other core (and complex) concepts such as ...

Will there be more scenarios?

I've been 'flirting' with WitE2 for a few months now and have played all the smaller scenarios thorugh multiple times from both sides using different settings, in order to get a feel for this immense game.

I have also watched all 67 episodes of First Contact Gamer's thjoroughly excellent YouTube ...
