RE: Bruce Harper's A World at War? update please?

Sounds amibiguous. Would it be better to ask Bruce in the AWAW forums or email him?

Bruce Harper's A World at War? update please?

It has almost been a year since the announcement that Matrix will sell AWAW. I have heard little to no news since the press release in Nov. 2004. Can you enlighten as to where the project is presently at?

Regards,
James Sparks

RE: AH

<t> There was a way at one time to take Tahiti and Pearl Harbor, raid into the Pacific, and use Strategic Warfare to cripple the US from getting back into the Pacific theatre. This was adjusted many years ago and such now is no tthe case. Is this what you refer? There was also a time where the Japs ...

RE: World at War or Hearts of Iron?

<t> Hearts of Irons was a beast. I find Hearts of Iron a breeze to play! All the commands game interfaces are much simpler! I have WAW but have not been able to put down HOI2 to even install WAW. I like starting at 1936 and working from there. <br/>

RE: Still waiting for WAW

Well that means the EB games in Frederick still does not have it. Anyway I got home tonight after work and Gamestop said it just arrived today and they have it in reserve. I can pick it up tomorrow because by the time I get home from DC, it is closed.

I guess it is time to call GameStop and ask for a refund. This is ridiculous.

RE: Still waiting for WAW

I live in Frederick, Maryland. Neither the EB Games or the Gamestop has a copy. If you do not know Frederick, MD, it is 40-45 minutes west of Baltimore & Washington DC.

Still waiting for WAW

I pre-ordered the game and I am still waiting for it to come to the store! The game has been released but distibution is poor?

BTW HOI2 is great. It plays much smoother than HOI1. I am having aball playing it. Production, diplomacy, research, an dthe interface is much easier!

Demo?

I would like to know if there will be a demo release. I would like to see how this game runs before I purchase it. It looks to me to be like another from of Axis & Allies, albeit on a more detailed scale.

Personally I don't want to see a PARADOX sort of release of this title. It's important for it to be polished and finished upon release. Minor bugs I expect. Major bugs and CTD's are going to be a major disappointment.<br/>

Yes I am curious too. HOI 1 was pretty detailed. HOI2 is suppsedly more involved.
