RE: OT: 7 Ages Expansion

There is a VASSAL module for 7 Ages. It works pretty well, too.

RE: California Climate Zone

<t> I am also a California native (grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and currently live in San Diego). I've travelled the state a lot in my 40 years and would completely support the ideas propsed here. I especially agree with Jim about pushing the zone closer to Eureka. I have family that lives ...

<t> The store is in San Diego, CA and is called Game Towne. The phone number is: (619) 291-1666. I don't know if they will mail things out, but the two guys that work there are John and Robert and are very nice. They are closed on Monday, but are open tomorrow and late tonight. I would also be ...

RE: Days of Decision I

My local game store has a copy of Days of Decision (the original). Brand new, in shrink wrap. If you're interested, let me know and we can work something out.

Manual Hardcopy

<t> I finally broke down and got both HTTR and COTA when they went on sale. I was wondering if there was an easy and cheap way to get the manuals printed and bound? I checked out the Matrix/Kinkos thing aarangement, but neither game comes up as an option to order through Kinkos. Am I missing ...

RE: Building the MWiF Test Plan

<t> Wow pak,<br/>
You nailed this one on the head for me. I do my testing in exactly the same way that you described. Although this can work and does have its uses, I find it to be really ineffective. My brain just wants clear goals, objectives and timelines (20 years in the military will do that ...

I think I'm too far south (San Diego). I know there are some people in the Oceandside/Escondido area, but that's it for SoCal that I know of.

That's some great info Patrice, thanks. I guess as far as playing with my cardboard set I will just use the counters the way they are until the WiF sheets get updated.

<t> I sure hate to bring this up, but...<br/>
The CW C-47 was changed in PiF 2007 sheet from 1938 to 1941.<br/>
The CW C-47 that is on WiF CS-2 2003 is still a 1938 unit.<br/>
And since you add the PiF counters to the WiF counters, why aren't you setting up the 1938 C-47 from the WiF countersheet ...

RE: Tutorial #6 Air Units

<t> I think the tutorials are excellent. I'm actually enjoying reading all of them. So here comes the really nit-picky stuff.<br/>
<br/>
You might want to use the same word for the different components of an air unit. For example, you are freely using the words "rating", "factor" and "#" when ...

RE: Updating the beta tester waiting list

<r> I am still interested. Even though I don't post a lot, I do check the forums almost every day and look for anything new, etc. I've never been a beta tester and am a novice WiFer, but have a passion for the game. (I built the vassal module for this game, if that counts.) Not sure if that's what ...

<t> Hi John (and others),<br/>
Each counter that is from any of the expansions has that indicated after the name of the counter; for example: the German Mech named "XXII Mechanized (MiF)" to show it is from the Mech in Flames expansion. You may have to expand the counter palette window a bit to see ...

<t> The version 2.5.2 is the version of the VASSAL engine, not the WiF module itself. To make sure you have the most recent version of the engine, go to www.vassalengine..org and click the Quick Launch button on the left and it will start the engine and update if necessary.<br/>
As far as the WiF ...

I just wanted to post that I received my new countersheet in the mail today. Thank you to the Matrix staff for working with me on this and finally getting this resolved.

<t> I first contacted Marc Schwanebeck on September 9th and then sent a picture of the countersheet on the 10th and was told it would be forwarded for review.<br/>
Then, after a month of waiting, I sent the info to Eric Rutins on October 9th. It's now the 23rd and I'm still waiting.<br/>

<t> I wish I could say the same. Two week ago I started the "new counter-sheet" process for the second time and after two weeks of waiting, still nothing interesting in the mail.<br/>
