why not use the hex system this kind of map reminds me too much of axis and allies

Why not use the Hex system for the map instead of the big land states like i see on the map? it would make the game more complex.

Will there be any 1939 campaigns? it would be so cool to give the human player who controls japan a chance to set there own history like what targets to strike first? Pearl Harbor or Hong Kong?.Also allow them a chance to build up a bigger navy before the start of the war ...
