Just as a curosity, note the color of the gun barrel itself. This is either a strange camo job or (just possibly) heat scorching the paint.

I think they are Aussies - the SMG looks like a 9mm Owen, with the distinctive overhead feeding magazine. I am guessing Owen Mk 1/42, though the stock looks off and it looks like a forward handle has been removed. The Owen went through several revisions, however.
