hello from the hinterlands

<t> Hi guys. Making a rare tour through WAW land.<br/>
<br/>
Awesome to see that the community keeps going!!<br/>
<br/>
To be honest, I haven't touched the game since the last patch. It would make sense to do any cleanup necessary to move it from the Members Only section (beta) to a real release ...

RE: "Fight to the Death" bug?

Noted.

I will take a look and see whether if this is easy to improve or not when I do look at bugs again, but it might not get fixed. At least a human can easily judge the end in this context.

RE: Why the heavy fleet got fire suppression ?

<r> If I understand correctly, you have misread the note. You are referring to <I><s></s>Suppression fire modification from evasion adjustments -3<e></e></I>?<br/>
<br/>
What this means is that the HF suffers target evasion +1 (due to winter), the HF is firing with "bombardment" or ...

RE: Abnormal submarin attack

<t> This has been around a while. I've never figured out a consistent way to reproduce it (from prior to the combat start) and have not been able to debug it.<br/>

From what I have observed, it appears to be a display issue (the save combat report is corrupted) which does not impact the ...

RE: Retreat problem in 1.040?

I've been on vacation for weeks and not monitoring things.

I'd call it a feature. You are referring to a French surrender (I presume), it is not handled the same as a regular retreat.

<t> I'm sorry, there is not much I can do. These driver compatibility issues (presumed) are essentially impossible to deal with remotely. I only know how to debug the issues I can reproduce. You've done everything I would have been able to suggest.<br/>

RE: I NEED HELP IN THIS GAME

<t> I think the best approach is<br/>
<br/>
1. read the manual in detail (the regular manual, not Global Glory which comes with patches).<br/>
2. play Total War against the AI with simple supply. Playing as WA is good because you are on the defensive, Germany can be the proactive one.<br/>

RE: v1.040 beta status

I sent it to Matrix. Still could be a delay before I can test an installer.

Now it depends on Matrix work load and whether we have to iterate any to get the installer correct.

<t> Two things occur to me that are possible with the upcoming release.<br/>

RE: Australian sea lane

<r> I would love to see the whole Pacific redesigned. IMO, the importance of the sea lanes to Australia should be through the move and combat mechanics, not through artificial things like VPs etc. One big reason the sea lanes are not important is because it is just too far from the USA to Australia ...

Obviously nothing new is for the upcoming release. It is delayed enough as it is, for which I should apologise.

I can see some appeal to this, but I'd have to put it to the folks out there ... something you want to see?

Welcome back!

I'm afraid don't know how to do this.

Personally, I set the popup delays a little longer and hit the space bar when I want to speed through them.

v1.040 beta status

Guys,

Sorry for the delays. Various reasons I needn't bore you with.

I intend to send everything to Matrix tonight or tomorrow. Still no promises after that. It could be 4 days or it could be 2 weeks, depends on the load at Matrix.
