If it was a paradrop then the battle would have been shock attack, this battle was a deliberate attack though.

I'm pretty sure a cargo TF won't willing enter a hex within enemy air superiority.
While transport TF will.

RE: New v1.094b Public Beta Now Available!

I would like to add my appreciation to your long list of greetings.
Well done the AE team. So many new features it is almost a new game.
Also the game will take half the plotting time due to the new way of assigning the mission percentage. One screen!

thanks again

RE: Tactics against allied Subs?

<r> I'm up to 20th March 42 and I have only lost three subs to date- none to DC! The risk is so meagre I very often go across any shallow waters to attack shipping. I thought I have placed them aggressively because of small damages. The subs have faced many attacks.<br/>
So maybe Jap DCs are a ...

RE: service rating/upgrade paths

<t> Technically yes it is a down-grade, but in game play it is called an upgrade. Maybe they should have called :"Plane Change"? Inventory redistribution. most times you use this game play key it will be for upgrading to a new model. But sometimes you have to change back after taking heavy losses ...

RE: Where ae my resources going?

Oops your right. It's hard to type under the ssea with phins.
So that makes it worse: 20x20x100= 40,000 should be on the bases but only 2000 are stored there. So Japan is missing out big time if they don't grab the bases early.

RE: P-40E v P-39D

Yes there would have been an arms race as Germany's enemies were already awakening to Germany's growing mence. But going to war in 1939 with the weapons in hand was a major blunder (in my opinion). Italy would have been given more time to prepare.

RE: P-40E v P-39D

<t> All of Germany's efforts were hindered by Hitler's promise to his military chiefs that no war would start in Europe before 1943. So they began rebuilding all of Germany's military services with that belief. So navy had some battleships and cruisers but virtually no desrtoyers or subs as these ...

RE: pilot morale - effects, causes?

<t> Air units need to ne rested sometimes. If you have an air unit flying constant ASW missions with high usage percentages then you can expect morale to fall. Or a leader with poor stats. Try reducing their number of missions, try changing leader, give them a few days off- especially if ...

RE: TF loading 'freezes' on certain troop loads

<t> I've seen the same thing at Aden. When the supply gets low the loading rate drops. The first wave of transports left trouble-free with tons of supplies too. Then the second wave of transports had problems loading so I send them off half sized units to Karachi and brought back some supply with me ...
