Seagulls stop being built in 1941 and Kingfishers in Nov 1944. Historically did the USN phase out their use from around this time?

The Seagulls were expected to retire early in the war, but its original replacement performed very poorly. It was finally replaced by the Curtiss SC.

When launched from the water in heavy tropical air with no breeze, the seagull sometimes just did not have enough power to break the surface tension with the water and get aloft. It was a bit underpowered but a good reliable airplane. slow but sure.

In real life a great plane and to many shot down pilots a life saver.

In game turns I couldn't find many uses for the many squadrons I got. I put some on ASW duties, but I ended up selling most of the squadrons I got for PPs.

All float plane pilots can trained in sweep missions increasing their A-2-A skill if you dan't want to use them as ASW planes.
Is Sharkosaurus rex the biggest fish in the sea?
