This is simple role-playing game style, the difference being that in general most role-players tend to play team style rather than oppositional. It works quite well, though I don't necessarily prefer it to a good standard wargame for oppositional play.

I'd like to see a name for the type of ship in addition to its code (eg CS, AK etc.) on its information screen as well. There's plenty of room, and without a printed manual it's a royal pain until one manages to memorize everything.
