RE: Ok, so how DO you stop Heavy Bombers?

If people are going to use the bulk of their production points to research heavy bomber evasion to such high levels then perhaps this imbalance could be exploited in some other way.

RE: How far "off" can you go from Historic?

Allies can't attack them but barbarrossa can cetainly be delayed up until winter of 43 i think. The russians will only get stronger the longer you wait though. I have won a couple of games with a quick sealion and then turning on russia once england has been defeated.

Agreed. Descriptions of the combat modifiers and why they were applied would be a good addition to the combat report.

Invasion Norway

<t> Just noticed in my invasion of norway with a paradrop and infantry that all land units involved in combat with other land units get -4 for their defense rating. I understand about the negation to evasion and attack ratings but could not find any info on this. If anyone knows please enlighten me ...

RE: combat phases

Thanks, I had another question though.
Is it better to perform attacks on regions in a big bunch or to do it in smaller pieces? For example sending fighters in to knock out air cover, then sending bombers to knock out artillery, then send troops in. Or just send everyone in at once?

<t> Just had a quick question about the combat phases (ie. air to air, air to ground etc.)<br/>
If an air unit involved in air to air combat is hit, does it then get to be involved in air to ground combat?<br/>
and If a ground unit is hit in air to ground phase, does it then get to participate in ...

Population

Can someone please explain to me how population works? My max pool limit seems to jump around all over the place. One turn I will have 25/16 then in another turn it will be 12/10. How does this work?

RE: sounds, endgame, the bomb, options and other chrome

<t> I really do not understand some peoples insistence on keeping the war strategy genre as ugly as possible. I believe these sorts of features are long overdue in games such as these. Their purpose is to make the game more visually attractive and more enjoyable to play. I do not see why this is so ...
