RE: Hard Drive Wipe program?

You could try CCleaner, it is a registry, file cleaning program that has a disc wiping utility. It's free. Just go to piriform.com to download.

RE: Need Another Book

Ive just started Pacific by Hugh Ambrose, billed as the companion book to the upcoming HBO series. Hugh is Stephen Ambrose's son and a historian in his own right. A few pages in and it is a good read and I expect it to get better. I just finished Kaigun, man what a book that is.

RE: slightly OT - question re Kaigun

Thanks mate.

And yes, if you don't have it, get it - it is a wonderfully written, engaging account of the history of the IJN.

slightly OT - question re Kaigun

<r> Hi all<br/>
<br/>
I am currently reading Kaigun by Evans and Peattie and what an amazing book it is!<br/>
<br/>
On page 242, in the discussion of the IJN development of torpedo boats, they have two line drawings of the <I><s></s>Tomozuru<e></e></I>. However, I am not quite sure of the ...

RE: Netbook Question

<t> I run it on my Samsung NC10 with 2gb ram and it runs fine - slower than the desktop but that is to be expected and the window "scrolls" because the game res is bigger than the screen res.<br/>
<br/>
WiTP Staff and Tracker all run fine on the same machine, again, you notice the lag in starting ...

RE: Good Pac war books?

<t> I just finished War Plan Orange by Miller - a surprisingly very good read (surprising because who would have thought the development of war plans could be made so interesting) - it is very well written and meticulously researched. Especially good for noobs (like me) because you get to understand ...

RE: WitPAE on Netbook (1024x600 display)

I run it on my netbook and it just goes into 1024 x 780 and the screen scrolls up or down when you move the cursor (native res is 1024 x 600).

RE: Physical Shipment Status

<t> Mine also arrived at work today. It hadn't been packaged very well, the UK Royal Mail had put it in a plastic bag with writing on it saying they had damaged it. On inspection, the case was fine and the manual was fine apart from some very minor crinkling on the outside. It did travel from the UK ...

I haven't been able to get it work either, similar error I think.  But I am too busy trying to learn the game for the moment so it is no big deal (the Grand Campaign remains a dream for me at the moment).

RE: Playing Matrix (or other) games on an Acer Aspire One?

<t> Just tp update this thread. I just installed TOAWIII on my netbook and it runs very nicely indeed. RE: Playing Matrix (or other) games on an Acer Aspire One?

Ive got a Samsung NC10 netbbok with the 1.6 Atom processor and 2gb RAM - I currently have COTA and WiTP installed. They run fine considering the hardware. I am going to try some others I have as well (AT, TOAWIII, HTTR for starters).

Portable WiTP

<t> Hi all<br/>
<br/>
Long time lurker here. Thought I'd share this - I just bought myself a netbook (Samsung nc10) and installed WiTP to see if it would work. The first time around it wouldn't run and I got an error message about the screen resolution (netbook native res is 1024x600). <br/>

<t> Last Saturday was the worst day I have ever experienced. It got to about 47 where I live (suburbs of Melbourne) and the wind was extremely terrifying. My sister-in-law's parents live in Kinglake and lost everything apart from what they were wearing. In fact I don't know how they survived (their ...

<t> Funny, I have both RFactor and GTR2 and I think rFactor is the better sim - it just feels more real ot me than GTR2, even if GTR2 has weather.<br/>

But, I only play rFactor on my own or against my brother using Hamachi. The range of mods for rFactor is truly amazing. Have a look at ...

Is there any chance of you or someone making a short video to show how the game plays in real time.&nbsp; I am just interested to see how it actually plays rather than trying to figure it out from your (good) screenies.

Cheers
